Academic Experience: The school is not great for people like me who are majoring in theatre.

Overall Experience: For the area of study that I am going into, the school is not that great. I am a theatre major, and the theatre department at GCSC is not that great. That is why I am transferring to UWF, where I have been accepted to the BFA Musical Theatre program!

5 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: It's been pretty phenomenal for me. Not only am I a student here but I work full time. My boss as well as a few professors have been willing to re arrange some things so that I could go to school.

Academic Experience: Since the school just turned state college a few years back, things are as would be expected. They are currently pushing for the health field so as an architectural student things on my side aren't always as quick to come by. Even then, the instructor for architecture is an architect himself and very willing to operate outside his budget if in a dire straight. I wish there was a bachelor program for us future architects however since there isn't there is a lot of working with other places like FAMU and FSU.

Overall Experience: So far, the school is a great experience. I've gotten a lot of help and my teacher for my degree field has been very patient and understanding of things. He's gone to great extents to make sure things were done and that I was moving along at just the right speed even going so far as to schedule summer classes he doesn't have just for me. The application process was okay as are most processes but the people were friendly and were willing to work to help me when I first applied. It's an all around good school

Academic Experience: I have not started classes yet, so I cannot rate my academic experience.

Overall Experience: I have yet to start classes, but so far that application process has been easy. I am currently waiting on previous transcripts and test scores to arrive.

Academic Experience: I am just a dual-enrolled student. I just want scholarship money.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I am a dual-enrolled student, so Gulf Coast is not the same for me as it is for students who actually go to the campus. I am just doing this to try to get scholarship money.

Academic Experience: they have excellent teacher like mr phillips

Overall Experience: While affordability is the number one reason I applied to and currently attend Gulf Coast State College, there are still days that I feel as if I paid a great deal more because the location is quite nice. The bay is right across the street and the beaches are only about 10 minutes away. Most of my professors so far care a great deal about their respective subjects so learning is rather enjoyable. There are almost always events being held by the SGA and local community groups on campus so it's easy to become involved in something bigger than yourself.

Overall Experience: Havent had a issue with professors or courses at this school. Overall great learning environment.

5 College Student

Academic Experience: My major is Social Work, I currently work in the Medical field setting so I believe this career will be excellent for me

5 College Student

Overall Experience: I would choose this school again because it is a really good school. Few students and you get more one on one time if needed.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: the classes are great and the professors know what they are doing.

3 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: Okay the flexibility of gulf coast is great! But if you are like me and have a busy busy life working two jobs then it can be difficult to find the classes you want that work around your schedule. The only problem I think I have had is a few of my classes have got dropped last minute because there wasn't enough students to fill the classroom. That was annoying for me because I had to rearrange my whole schedule and so it was quite frustrating.

5 College Freshman

Online Courses: A lot of people fear online classes. But honestly there are easy if your just do the work. Basically for each online class you have one or two assignments a week and maybe a quiz or two. And of course in an online class there are no lectures so you HAVE to read the book. If not you will fail. Online classes are good if you are self motivated and do not procrastinate

Career Services: The purpose of our school is to get a two year degree to transfer to a school with a bachelors program. However it is also our aim that for many of the programs you can go out and get a job right after conpleting your associates.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The courses I have taken so far have taught me a lot. They are all interesting to me and most of the teachers are great. It is a good idea if u go online to so you can see exactly which kind of professor you would like. The quality of each course is good. You always come out of the class knowing more then what you came in with. Depending on the teacher, there are different types of class styles such as basic lecture, or more interactive classes. The class size is great with roughly around thirty people in each class. It is good for asking questions. Gulf coast offers a lot of majors and courses

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: There are many internship and job oppurunties at the school and around campus and throughout the community.
