5 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Classes are available for every type of person: Early bird, night owl, midday blue jay...

Career Services: I have worked with TRIO student support services within my college closely. They are extremely organized and really care for your success as a person. I have not met another service group as helpful.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: I could not have asked for a better curriculum. The bureaucratic organization is smooth, responses from faculty are timely and I come away from classes daily feeling I have learned something new and I'm one step closer to my ultimate goals.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: My ultimate goal is to obtain an M.D. and apply it as a surgeon. My completion of school at this two-year institution will be invaluable as I will have a degree, and have saved money on the courses.

Academic Experience: I love a challenge, and as a science/biology major the program fits me well with a heavy course load not unlike the load you'd find at a four year college. I feel it is prepping my transfer well.

Overall Experience: Great school with classes on par with four-year university lecture halls, but on a smaller scale. Great environment, teachers here care for the most part.

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: Not sure, back in 1992 all my classes transferred to UMass.

Online Courses: Wish they had this 25 years ago I would not have had to quit the first time around. Reminders that you must set aside time for your classes is a must.

3 College Senior

Career Services: Not sure. I do believe it has potential to being very helpful.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: It has been difficult being out of school for 20 plus years but it has been a great experience especially with online classes and those where we actually have to attend a class. Not full of kids just out of high school for the most part, which is a plus.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: Instructors have worked through the major changes in this industry so understand what it takes to succeed.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: The only thing I can say negatively is that I wish there were more help for the older generation as far as using what you have done and helping to attain better career after working for more than 25 years to help match skills already obtained with learning new skills in such ever evolving system.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: It's a wonderful technical college because they will help you success your goal but the only way they will help you do that is if you are willing to help your self to be able to put in the work showing them that your are not trying to be there to waste your time and money your are there because you want to be able to get a good job in your filed that is going to give you good benefits.

Overall Experience: A lot of people transfer for a bachelors degree.

Academic Flexibility: For my program (MLT) the class schedule is not flexible at all. All my classes are available at one specific time, so you have to rearrange your personal schedule accordingly. Greenville Technical College is an excellent school for students who plan on transferring to a 4 year institute. Greenville Tech offers many pre-requisites that transfer to 4 year institutions.

Online Courses: I've only taken one online class at this school. Every student in the program was required to take it. The work load was manageable. We submitted our work through the Blackboard system used by the school and for the most part it worked well. Online classes are more flexible because you work at your own pace and at your own time. The professor was always available through e-mail and made sure to respond to e-mail in a timely manner. Through the Blackboard system you could also interact with other students who were online at the same time as you.

Career Services: The career center is open every school day. The people who work there are friendly and always willing to help. The school holds open house monthly to discuss job prospects and networking opportunities.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: The courses are challenging which I don't mind in the least. The professors are great at teaching and are more than willing to help if you ask for it. The classes are small which is great for more one on one interactions with the professors. From the top of my head I know that the college offers a Medical Laboratory technician program, a veterinarian tech program, a nursing program and a massage therapy program. I'm in the Medical Laboratory Technician program.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Depending on the program you are going into, the job/ internship prospects is great. Most of the health care related program come with a clinical portion which is great for networking and job opportunities. The career center is there to guide you and the people who work there are friendly and always willing to help.

Academic Experience: I have all science courses which I don't mind but it is pretty intensive. You have to stay on top of the materials or you will fall behind and it is not easy to catch back up. The first semester classes start at 8:30 in the morning and end at 12:45 except on Thursdays when it ends at 1:20 but we are allowed a 45 minute lunch break in between. The second semester is a little different. We still start at 8:30 am but on Tuesdays and Wednesdays we get out at 3: 30 pm. This is because we have longer laboratory classes. The only negative thing I have to say is that the college has six campuses in Greenville and my program is not on the main campus but the Northwest campus which is a 25 minute drive from campus housing. So you do need to have a car and gas money.

Overall Experience: The class size is small which is great because you get more one on one interaction with the professors. The professors know what they are talking about and are more than willing to offer additional help after class. My favorite topic so far is Microbiology. Not only do I get a chance to learn about the common pathogens that are encountered in hospital laboratories in lecture but the school also offers a laboratory portion to go along with the lecture so that I can get experience in how to isolate and identify these pathogens. Even though it is a technical school, the main campus is huge and offers housing so that students such as myself who live more than four hours away can live and attend school there easily.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I don't know what to say here so I'm just going to type.

Overall Experience: Hopefully I get a job from this experience. We will see

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: So far the only issue I have had with Greenville Tech is the financial aid department.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I have never had a bad professor.
