I would rate this school 5 stars, but due to the strike, there was many complications with students and teachers. But the teachers did their best to try and resolve the issue. Other than this minor set back, Green River is a wonderful school with great teachers who truly care for their students. There hasn't been a single class I haven't enjoyed, even online classes!

I love Green River! Why? 3 things. First of all, the student body is full of international students so it's quite diverse. As an Asian American myself, it is nice to see not only so many Asian students from Vietnam, Hong Kong, China, and Taiwan around, but people from Germany, Norway, and Indonesia as well. It's a nice experience to also see many students of different ages. Me being a high school student doing the running start program was pleasantly surprised talkig and getting to know students like my mother's age. They were, I believe, quite brave and dedicated to earn what they wanted in life and not afraid of any obstacles, viewing them as just temporary challenges.

They also have a wonderful student life, although you must take up the initiative to become part of it.

Oh and the lemon bread (which is $1.59) is to die for. Chock full of butter and lemon zest. YUM.

When I first began attending classes at Green River in my junior year of high school, I was pleasantly greeted with the opportunity to take prerequisite college courses with small classroom sizes, guiding relationships with professors and overall affordability. I have found in my time here that these attributes, which are generally taken advantage of at other larger universities, can lead to more than just an efficient learning experience. The classes that I have taken here have been very culturally diverse as well. Concurrent with the small and interactive classroom settings, it has been interesting and lively to learn about such different ways of life through sheer relationships with other students. The connectivity to my teachers and student life by its unique attributes has enjoyably defined my academic and social journeys at Green River.
