5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I would have to say with me being a full-time online student the one thing I am most familiar with is the quality of the career center or graduation percentage. That is one reason I chose GCU is because of the high graduation percent rate.

Academic Experience: The classes are flexible with your time and you get more time to concentrate on your studies.

Overall Experience: I wish I could have chose this school my first time around. I love the entire experience and I am learning so many valuable lessons.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: They were real good with helping me transfer my BA degree to get in this program.

4 College Junior

Online Courses: They help a lot with making professor relationship and with other students.

3 College Junior

Career Services: Have a better way to communicate besides calling. Not always able to get hold of some of my advisors at the school.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Most of the professors that I had and do have will so great in helping answering any questions that I might have. They also pray for you. The class style is different in some ways but they are always there for you if you have any questions on any assignments.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: They can work on helping more with internship locations.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: I am learning how to be flexible with helping each individual that I would help with as a counselor. To listen and be there for each client and their family.

Overall Experience: I loved the school so far. The professors are so helpful and get back to me by the next day. You can talk about Jesus in your assignments and in email to your professor at this school.

Overall Experience: We take everything that a normal school offers and more. We have life development classes, classes in automobiles where we learn how to change the oil or classes where we learn to do taxes. We also have classes that teach us about our Hawaiian heritage that I know I wouldn't be offered at other schools. The classrooms are small enough for the teachers to interact with us and us with other students, and it's honestly perfect.

Overall Experience: Being from Kamehameha is enough. Just the name itself, you say it anywhere throughout the islands, and even in the continental states and people know who you are and where you come from. It's something that gives you a high status and helps with so much.

5 College Freshman

Academic Experience: We like to call Kamehameha a college prep school, and it is. It's prepared me for anything and everything, not only with education but with life as well. The teachers there really care, and the counselors helped me every step of the way, and without them I wouldn't be where I am now.

Overall Experience: Kamehameha Schools changes my life. That might seem like I'm just pulling your leg, but it has. It's a family, we are a family. From dying in the PE program, to challenging each other in spirit week, to competing in Song Contest, we do it together as a family. Just this past weekend we lost a classmate, and the way that we came together was amazing. I forgot how it felt to be a part of that, to have them around me, to feel the pain and know I wasn't alone. My heart was heavy for a classmate I barely spent time with or even talked to on more than one or two occasions, but the hurt was still the same. The connection that the school gave me to not only my culture and past, but to my present and future is something I can never repay.

Overall Experience: I have loved it here at Grand Canyon University! The learning atmosphere is great and so inspiring! The teachers here are really good and truly engage with the students, even if they have so many. They make their time yours. The student activity is great, there are community lounges that offer different activities and food. Also everyone is so helpful and nice. The school campus is beautiful and perfect for studying, hardly any distractions. I absolutely love it here and would not want to get my degree anywhere else!

Overall Experience: I feel as if GCU has a great staff and program, because professors get into depth of how to do certain exercises and the meaning of certain processes and words before the lessons.

Overall Experience: I love everything about my school. they have everything you need and it is very affordable. I also enjoy their pre-med program it is amazing.

Academic Flexibility: My counselor has been the best over the past couple of years and has really worked with me to make sure that my class schedule doesn't interfere with my work schedule. As I am a student worker for the school and can work only so many hours, I love that my counselor understands that and provides a large number of options when selecting my classes for the next semester/year. I've even talked to her about taking gen ed classes at community college and possibly transferring those credits over and she was more than helpful in providing the knowledge of how to do that and what courses would transfer over.

3 College Junior

Online Courses: I've taken my fair share of online courses at GCU and each experience has been very different. I've had professors who rarely ever participate in the class discussions or answer student questions. On the flip side I've had instructors who are very active in the classroom and respond to student questions as soon as possible. It's also nice having instructors whoa re understanding about issues with the class platform like maintenance or shutdowns, etc.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Like I said before, some of the professors should not be teaching certain courses in the program. There is quite a variety of courses offered through my school though, it's crazy the number of fields you can study or even just take an elective course within that field. For my program specifically, the class sizes get smaller as you progress, this is beginning to change though due the vast amount of people entering the film program.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The instructors in my program are people who actually work in the film industry and have experience as well as connections that can prove to be useful for the students once they graduate or even before. The film department makes sure that each and every student who makes the utmost effort find jobs after college, or even freelance positions during the school year that can be worked around your schedule. There are a number of possibilities that are presented to GCU film students and its really up to us to take the leap and jump start our film careers.
