Academic Flexibility: Enrolling for GCU and continuing my education here has been easy to manage. I had a great SSA who walked me through everything and he made sure I was taking the right classes. There are many different classes and times, so it is easy to manage school and work. There is even on campus jobs available to make balancing life and school easier.

Online Courses: It is harder to have a relationship with your teacher when it is an online course; however, they are just an email away to assist with any questions you may have. Some online courses are easier than others and each class will vary with workload and requirements.

Career Services: For my degree, I know there is a higher rate of getting a job after graduation. I have been told this by other dancers, I have yet to experience it because I have not graduated yet.

Overall Experience: There are many different courses available with different teachers to choose from. The class sizes are small. The most I had in one class is about 60. Some classes may have more, but I think that will depend on the degree that is chosen.

Overall Experience: For my degree, just like others, the school has internships that you can step into at some point in your degree. I have seen many people leave GCU with a BA in Dance Education, with some type of job opportunity. Their is a an alumni center at school; however, I have not graduated yet so I have not needed to enter that building.

Academic Experience: My program, which is the dance education degree, is small; it contains about 60 students. We get to experience all the same classes together; which helps us build relationships with each other. We are able to take classes with the same teachers, which is great because it helps build a student/teacher relationship. Compared to other degrees, the workload is decent.

Online Courses: When I first enrolled in college, I was nervous that I would not do well in my online courses. After completing an entrance online course, I found that I really enjoyed the online work and was willing to take more of my courses online.

Career Services: Since I work at the school and have been able to access different resources, I have been able to observe the different functions of the Alumni services. For example, every alumni receives free or discounted tickets to basketball games that come along with free dinner.

Academic Experience: Although I am studying Education, that is no excuse for minimum effort in the classes. I have been pushed to submit lengthy essays as well as have had my own academic struggles with my math courses. Even though I have struggled, Grand Canyon offers many different outlets for me to receive help through my professor or free tutoring services.
