5 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: My medical assistant course did not transfer, which was frustrating. The reason was because it was obtained in High School. Other than that everything else counted.

5 College Senior

Career Services: They offer Nurse practitioners and doctorate of nursing degrees.

5 College Senior

Overall Experience: It is all online. One professor put himself on you tube every week to explain expectations for the class every week. He also explained APA format in great detail. The classes are all online so grades are based on essays. The essays all have to have correct APA format.

5 College Senior

Overall Experience: Obtaining a higher level of education will open doors to management or doctorate programs. The sky is the limit at GCU.

5 College Senior

Academic Experience: The teachers are fast to respond and provide feedback.

5 College Senior

Overall Experience: Grand Canyon University is a very doable college for busy working adults. It fits into any schedule because it is all online so you can fit it in when best works for you!

5 College Freshman

Online Courses: It is perfect for my schedule.

3 College Freshman

Career Services: I haven't really looked into it.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: There is a lot of recruiting on campus.

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: At first I was major in Criminal and now it is education.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: It is a learning experience to be on your own not living with your parents.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: GCU was not to blame for my frustrating time transferring credits. My community college failed to send my official transcript TWO times!! I had to personally turn it in to GCU so that they could transfer my credits over. Some applied to my degree credits but most were electives. I still need to take electives. I do not see how that will help me with my scholarship but I still have to unfortunately.

3 College Sophomore

Online Courses: I have taken only one online course at GCU. Overall, It seems okay. However! They do not make it clear how participation and the attendance works on the online course. I looked for it and I even asked my professor but I still could not find it. I think they need to make that more clear.

3 College Sophomore

Career Services: My SSA once made an appointment with me when she was not even on campus. It can be very frustrating sometimes, but they eventually help you. I plan to get a hold of career services the last semester of my junior year since I still have a bit of time.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The class sizes are pretty good. I had a few classes in a small auditorium but it does not fill up all the way. The teachers really interact with you. The courses are pretty challenging so you really get to learn the material.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Honestly, I have not really looked into that aspect of GCU. I plan to get an internship during grad school, but not during my undergraduate years. On the other hand, getting a job at GCU is really hard as a student. So good luck!

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: My social psychology was my favorite class during my sophomore year at GCU. My professor was interactive with the classroom and gave us real world example which we could apply the material too. I did not feel like just studying out of the text book, but she made it fun and simple. However, I did not like the way the curriculum made the class have two exams during the semester of six chapters each. It was way too much to study and my class and I had a hard time studying for it.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I like the way Grand Canyon University shares its values with its students. I like the way chapel and the gathering help you grow in your spiritual walk with the Lord. Another thing that I enjoyed were the activities the dorms and the dorm floors hold throughout the year. The most exciting and memorable activity that we did was the nerf war. The guys and girls from our floor ran throughout the North Rim Apartments. I made new friends and great memories. What I did not like was the internet connection. Sometimes it would cut off in the middle of doing an online assignment.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Class sizes are small which is nice. However, there are some professors who don't really teach in the classroom. Most of the material is self taught and that makes everything that much more frustrating.

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: The teachers need to be more involved with each individual. The student cannot be teaching themselves what to do when they are spending $20,000 dollars trying to pay someone to teach them in the first place.

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: They took all of my nursing classes that I previously taken with ease.

3 College Junior

Online Courses: I havent taken any classes as of yet.

3 College Junior

Career Services: I have not taken any classes as of yet.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: I havent taken any classes as of yet, but from prior students they stated it was a great school.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: I have yet to taking any classes as of yet.
