3 College Freshman

Scholarships: The financial they give is obviously grade dependent.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: Really dependent on what it is and who makes it.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Campus life is small at a small school.

2 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Hearsay, is that is difficult to get approved for off campus housing, even though we are adults.

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: It's pretty laid back and never really a big deal, but never great.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: You can find what you like if you're craving something.

3 College Freshman

Administration: Students knew the rules when they came and still chose it.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: If you have a way to get around, there are tons of great options, you just have to drive a bit. Excellent sit-down restaurants are everywhere, but if you're looking for cheaper spots with some personality (which you are) then head over to Beverly and Salem, where you'll find tons of spots from hip cafes to roast beef to Mexican and Thai cuisine.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: There are lots of places to live off-campus, it's applying for off-campus housing that's the hard part. Forget about it if you're not an upperclassman or a commuter who lives at home.

2 College Freshman

Party Scene: You're definitely not going to find any thrashers on campus (or anything on campus for that matter), but there's usually a little something off-campus if you know a guy.

3 College Freshman

Administration: There are a lot of rules at Gordon College, but that's baggage that comes along with the fact that it's labeled as a generally conservative Christian institution. For example, being openly gay on campus is prohibited in the student code. While this sounds harsh, in practice, it's actually quite the opposite, especially among the community of students. I've found Gordon to be quite accepting of many types of people.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: The college representatives are generally very friendly and willing to help. I felt like they walked me through the process smoothly.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: People sometimes complain about the price, but overall, it's not half bad. Gillies gives some really great options most days, and if you're able to buy mealpoints second-hand, you can actually get them for ridiculously cheap! My only advice: burrito bowls = delicious, hamburgers = cardboard (unless you get them hot off the grill).

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: It is pricey and some of the halls are showing signs of age, but there is a strong sense of community here. On the upside, one new hall was built this year and I hear there are plans to renovate.

2 College Junior

Athletics: no one really plays them and division 3..not very popular

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: its really hard to get off-campus housing. just pay for the on-campus ones (which are super pricey)

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: there aren't that many that you can go to if you dont have a car

5 College Junior

Administration: No wonder you feel safe! Very strict rules bring peace and no pressure to do things against the law =)

College Junior

Party Scene: There is no party scene and parties don't generally have a positive impact on the student experience anyways

2 College Junior

Scholarships: I keep asking and emailing but it seems like sometimes they just don't respond! :(

3 College Junior

Campus Food: When they try different cultural food, expect the worst. especially asian food (except chinese fried chicken)

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: Friendly people really depends on which dorm you go to

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Everyone that applied for off-campus housing didn't receive it except for those already off campus so the process is very difficult. Off campus housing is usually easing to get and inexpensive and many of my friends hope to live off campus when we're upperclassmen.

2 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There's basically nothing around here. You have to drive about 15 minutes to find anything good.

3 College Freshman

Administration: Rules are definitely enforced here so if you're obvious about it, you will get caught. If you're discreet you may be able to go unnoticed, especially if it's later and you're RA or floor mates do spontaneously come into your room.
