Overall Experience: I loved my classes and learned a lot from my professors. They are dedicated, caring, and intelligent people and I expect some of them to be at my wedding.

Student wise everyone is coming from a different background. Professors are willing to make amends to keep you interested.

Overall Experience: There is huge cross-over from my Gordon BA to my MA/PhD in Europe. I would not be doing what I am doing right now if it were not for Gordon.

Health & Safety: Campus is very safe. Most of the guys I came across were mousy and would have a hard enough time fitting in at a party let alone attempting to rape someone.

Campus Housing: Campus housing is expensive but there are a lot of options. The Hill and Chase are five star hotels with views. HUD dorms are known for their community. I was over the ice cream socials and prep rallies before they started and had a much better time living off campus.

Overall Experience: I loved Gordon but it took a while to grow on me. I graduated in 2012 and my experience then was different and better than I think it would be today. My departments were small with four professors in Political Science and a few more in History and Music. It is normal for American colleges to draw students from a wide diversity of backgrounds and Gordon is no different except that its statement of faith narrows these backgrounds. As with most things Gordon comes down to attitude. By my senior year I loved Chapel and went to more than thirty both semesters, and that's saying something because I lived off campus and had a reduction. The professors are passionate and they care a lot about students. They go the extra mile if it is clear to them that you want to learn. In many cases I do not know what I would have done without them. The work load is heavy and most of my classes had under ten students who were focused and wanted to be there for the most part. You can cross register in Advanced Seminars of other majors pretty easily. My fellow students were alright. I am not from New England and my parents are secular. I found that I had more money than my peers and I was judged for it. A friend of mine converted to Mormonism and she was castigated. Her RA position was taken away and some of her friends stopped speaking to her... My freshman floor held prayer meetings for me after I had visited her LDS church. My roommate told me I would go to hell if I converted and that my parents were going to hell...and then the Resident Director made her an RA the following year. That was a load of s*** to be honest. It is way worse if you are homosexual. If you don't fit the Gordon mold you will be judged.By junior year lots of people grow up. Others don't but you let go of them. I was closest with the Gordon outcasts and I liked it that way. Find some friends and live off campus.
