Party Scene

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: Not the best or most exciting. It depends a lot of who is there and when the party is. Not many big parties.

4 College Freshman

Party Scene: If you know the right people then you're usually set! All the big parties are in houses, but I know plenty of people who just like to drink in their dorm/apartment. Gonzaga is a wet campus so if you're 21 you can drink in on-campus housing. People do get written up for drinking in dorms, but it's pretty easy to get away with drinking in the dorms as well. You just have to be careful and not get crazy reckless. If you want to do that then go to a house party. Most weekends there's a good amount of parties, but like I said, you need to know people.

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: All people want to do is hook up no one is really there to have fun. The parties are pretty boring to be honest and they houses are super gross. Athlete parties are the most fun but non athletes are never invited and have to be friend with an athlete on the team to get into the parties.

Party Scene: I've been to one party, and it was kind of fun.

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: There are not very many parties and to get in a house you usually have to know someone living there, but when you do get in a party it can be a very fun time with close friends.

Bar ListingsWhat's This?

Star Restaurant & Lounge (The Star)

Gonzaga students have a love/hate relationship with this dark and seedy restaurant. They're suspicious of the mullet-sporting Spokanites who frequent it, but are drawn to its unabashed sleaziness and karaoke. The Star used to be the only bar in the "Gonzaga Triangle" to serve hard liquor.

Viking Bar & Grill

The Viking is seemingly in the middle of nowhere-a glorified aluminum-siding shed. Still, Gonzaga students are willing to hunt it down because of its fantastic selection of beers, its Free Pint Glass Wednesdays, and $5 Pitcher Thursdays. The crowd varies from quiet elderly couples to hair-metal screamers, depending on the night.

Fast Eddie's

Fast Eddie's is perhaps the most popular downtown bar, drawing a big crowd of locals, seemingly around the clock. It advertises "Lousy Food, High Prices, Warm Beer!" and offers a strange mix of big-bar glitz with trashy-bar vibe. It's a must-visit for every Gonzaga student on birthdays-you can "Spin the Wheel" for a chance to win up to $100 in drinks.

Jack & Dan's Bar & Grill

Jack & Dan's is nothing short of the pride of Spokane. It was named the sixth best sports bar by Sports Illustrated. Much has to do with the fact that it's owned and operated by Jack Stockton, father of NBA Hall of Fame point guard John Stockton. It has pool tables, an award-winning lunch menu, and family seating. However, it still feels cozy when half of Gonzaga is packed into it on a weekend or game night.

Lindaman's Bistro

Lindaman's has it all: bistro-style restaurant, coffeeshop, and bar. With spacious indoor and patio seating, it's the perfect place to bring a laptop and spend time studying off campus.
