Academic Experience: At Golden West they offer an American Sign Language Interpreter certificate which is a two year program. They also offer internship on campus! Some of the professor s are deaf which is cool! My tutor is deaf and it pushes me to use my knowledge in ASL to communicate with her! The classes are very

difficult because you are learning a whole new language, alot of vocabulary is given each chapter. Alot of time needs to be spent practicing or you will not become a great Interpreter, which means not alot of work after graduation! The only thing is that I wish they would offer more ASL classes in the summer! Currently they only offer one ASL class. I was told it's because lack of funding!! Which makes things more difficult for you if you have to retake a class, summer becomes dead time for people who chose this field!! ASL needs to be recognized because there is a rapid growing need for ASL Interpreters!!

Academic Experience: This school is known for their Psychology program, so a lot if the staff have degrees in Psych. It feels good to know that someone went through the same things as current students are going through. If a student has a problem, chances are they can go talk to someone and get help to work it out.

Academic Experience: My major is bio chemistry. At Golden West, my path to medicine is amplified and supported through their various programs and classes. The education is top notched and aggressive but the staff and environment helps plenty to be successful.

Academic Experience: The program for my degree really helps gives me an idea of what i will be doing in my career. The amount of work it takes to get their i would say is pretty far. It is the typical amount of general education classes any student goes through. Some classes are harder than others but when looking at the overall goal it is all worth it.
