4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I am international student, and I have applied for financial aid, I have received a very generous financial aid with a student loan, this is one of the things that was making me hesitant about coming to Gettysburg, because as an international student you realize that it will be much harder to pay the loans then for American students. Despite that fact I still decided to come to Gettysburg because they also provide opportunities to work on campus, there are lots of available jobs for students if they want to earn some extra money for their supplies, for books, for paying off some of their loans or part of tuition.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: I received a nice scholarship and grant money before applying for financial aid. With the help of financial aid and local scholarships, this year was not too hard as far as getting in all the necessary payments. However, I am worried about next year when all those local scholarships will no longer apply, and I may have to go through a process of requesting more financial aid or applying for outside scholarships like crazy! This school is pricey!!

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: The tuition costs go up each year but the financial aid stays constant. I need more aid and I have to look externally to private institutions for that aid.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: Gettysburg gives very few scholarship options, and they choose you, you don't have to apply. I didn't get one. I feel Gettysburg is inconsistent with scholarship awards.

Gettysburg has great need-based financial packages though.

2 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Not given enough money for the amount of money my parents make. ALWAYS submit your SAT scores, even if they're bad, you'll get more money.
