Administration: I personally am happy with everything, I am underage and I still have my fun without alcohol. Gettysburg tends to be quite strict about rules but that makes lots of students do the opposite. I think lots of things are under control and not many students tend to complain about rules, because they understand that they are all necessary.

Administration: The Administration comes down hard on the use of alcohol on campus, (when someone is underage). They also have an Honor Code which also comes down on students who plagiarize, so don't do it. However, with attendance of classes I've seen teachers be very lenient with students.

Administration: I haven't really had to deal with administration yet. The folks seem nice when I've seen them around, but I really wouldn't know too well other than they seem to really want to promote this school as diverse and safe, when it is definitely not the first and the second is thwarted by moderately frequent sexual assualt reports.

Administration: They are very easy-going and as long as you have a general level of respect it should be fine.

Gettysburg's unofficial and evasive stance on drugs and alcohol on campus seems to be an indicator that they are here to stay. There does, however, seem to be an internal commitment to keep the College's negative publicity to a minimum. Campus strictness is appropriately severe. If you are smart about bending the rules, you will likely not suffer any consequences for your mild civil disobediences. However, if you push the limits, you will probably find that what comes around goes around.

It is not difficult to skirt by the Man at G'burg. Close your door when you are doing something you shouldn't be, and if you don't do anything to arouse suspicion, then you won't be bothered.
