Campus Food: 2 Dining Spots – The cafeteria has some pretty good food from smoothies to sandwiches, salads, grilled options, and pizza. There is a lot of space in the cafeteria and also extended seating options because it is located in the newly constructed student activities building. There is another snack spot across campus that provides little bites and drinks. They offer a meal plan program, too, which is nice.

Technology: There are usually enough open computers in the labs to accommodate students. The network tends to be a bit on the slow side, however. Wireless internet is slow as well most of the time. The school's labs are pretty new and the hardware is in pretty good shape.

2 College Freshman

Scholarships: The Financial aid process is long. Alot of people get little to aid and have to work in order to cover tuition. I received nothing at all.

Parking: Major Headache – Parking on Campus may be a headache at times. If you do not make it on campus by a certain time you will have to park on nearby streets.

3 College Freshman

Diversity: Mostly Caucasian – Most Athletes come from foreign countries, however the majority of the population is White because of where it is located.

4 College Senior

Guys & Girls: Friendly Students – The students at ASU are pretty friendly and it is easy to make short and long term friends. There are lots of students who congregate outside the dining hall on pretty days to talk and sometimes even play music.

3 College Senior

Campus Food: Decent Food, but Kind of Expensive – There is a range of healthy and unhealthy food avaliable, but it's all kind of expensive. The food tastes pretty good though.

4 College Senior

Transportation: Free Campus and Public Busses – The school provides three campus bus that follow a circular route between the student housing (a few blocks away), the gym (near campus housing), and two campus buildings. These busses are a great way to save gas and time looking for a parking space because you can park off campus and still get to class. The student housing students use the bus a lot.
The public bus system also allows the students to ride free with i.d. The bus system covers the majority of the surrounding county, but there is no bus system in the nearby county.

Campus Quality: The school has a good library with helpful librarians. There is a student center attached to the library with workout equipment (exclusively for students), games, and a dining room. There is a separate gym on a nearby second campus that is equipped with more serious equipment and a walking track and various sports equipment.
The school hosts plenty of on and off campus activities through the year to provide plenty of cheap or free entertainment.
The campus is very pretty and the maintence crew does a great job with the grounds and cleaning.

Technology: Great Computer Avaliability – There are several computer labs at the school. Each building has at least two labs, if not one on every floor. There is nearly always a computer avaliable, except maybe during serious crunch times, and even then you can usually find one if you look around. There are computers avaliable 24/7 during the school year. You are given a semester printing allowance that is more than sufficient.

4 College Freshman

Weather: The local weather doesn't really affect campus because there isn't really a campus life.

2 College Freshman

Party Scene: There are hardly any parties and most of the people on campus just drink in their housing or go to bars.

Technology: Certain computers at the school are fairly slow upon loading while others have the speed of a brand new one. The wifi works really well and you may need a pc if you don't won't to be bored.

Campus Quality: Oddly Artsy – Although a majority of students at ASU major in medicine, a great deal of students are enrolled in numerous art programs giving the school a somewhat artsy feel. As Augusta is one of the more traditionally liberal communities in the the bible belt (but trust me, its definitely no Asheville or Atlanta) the makeup of the student body is not as bro-ish and fratty redneck as you would think a school down here would be.

5 College Sophomore

Diversity: The Augusta State student body is actually quite diverse. There are many people of every race, religion and sexual orientation. You could do a lot worse around the southeast.

Off-Campus Dining: Plenty of Dining Options Near ASU – While it certainly doesn't have the kind of dining options that a school in a major city would have, Augusta State has plenty of places to choose from. The campus is located 5 minutes from downtown (locally owned unique restaurants), and 5 minutes away from West Augusta. (Just about any chain restaurant you could ask for)

5 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I do not live in the housing selection of my school.

5 College Sophomore

Majors: ASU has a wide variety of Majors. I am majoring in Psychology. The prospective workload is not awful but it's enough to keep one busy. All of the Psychology professors have doctorates and the ones I've worked with have been friendly and known what they were talking about.

3 College Sophomore

Administration: ASU Strictness – Things aren't that strict. You can usually do what you need to or want to on campus but the security is there when needed.

College Sophomore

Campus Quality: ASU is a nice looking campus with a few things to do. There is a gym with some good equipment and pretty good hours. There are lots of computer labs, some of which are 24 hours. There is also a fantastic library. There are some sports fields but they are on an ASU building away from the main campus. I don't offer a grade to ASU because I've not been to any other schools to compare it to.

3 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: Beauty Is in the Eye – of the beholder. Lucky for me, I already have the most attractive guy on campus. ;)

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: Lack of Vegan Options – We desperately need more vegetarian and vegan options for students.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Financial aid assistants are not very helpful. They give you the basics but you have to do some research yourself.

3 College Sophomore

Party Scene: I don't know a lot about ASU nightlife. Sometimes parties take place on campus or in the Student Activities Center.

4 College Sophomore

Diversity: ASU is a pretty diverse campus. I would say it is a predominately liberal college, but politics and religion do vary across the campus. Sexual orientation, ethnicity, and economic background are the most diverse.
