Majors: You do not have to apply to your program seperately. Once you are accepted into the university, you declare your major.

4 College Junior

Majors: An internship in my major would be doing research for a professor for a particular course. It is very time consuming, and definitely a commitment as well. Do not take one until your schedule gives you the time and space to participate in one.

Campus Quality: Learning Buddies – The campus was recently remodeled and renovated, so the students feel fresh being in newly built and modern buildings. The classrooms are generally small, which is an excellent opportunity for students and teachers to get to know eachother.

Majors: Being in my specific program is difficult because I am a Biology major. However, we have many tutoring centers and clubs that are offered which helps build a strong connection between other students within your major and faculty members.

4 College Junior

Majors: Although there are diverse range of majors that are provided, there are not enough interesting or diverse electives that are offered within those majors.

4 College Junior

Diversity: Over the years the racial diversity has increased, and there have been more school activities and events on campus. Acceptance or background have never been an issue at this school.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: The programs are challenging, as they should be. However, Augusta State provides the resources you need and the professors are always there to help you out.

3 College Sophomore

Administration: The campus is pretty chill, however if you leave at the University's housing, they tend to be pretty strict, but you still have a lot of freedom.

Off-Campus Housing: Augusta is a beautiful city and offers many different apartment complexes. Some that are more expensive, some that are less expensive. They're located allover in different areas of Augusta. You can always find somewhere you may like.

Technology: There's plenty of computers available all over campus.

2 College Junior

Party Scene: Most just go to the bars downtown. It gets old quite quickly.

4 College Junior

Diversity: There is a vast Diversity in most categories, being on the Bible belt does cause a large sway in the religious aspect and therefor a sway on political views. Otherwise like many schools there are a good percentage of race and ethnic backgrounds and well as economic diversity.

Health & Safety: I have not personally felt unsafe at ASU, the only things really to think about is to always lock your doors and to hide any valuables. There have been a select few robberies on campus but only from someone breaking into a car because there was a laptop sitting right there on the seat, but again if this is the main concern of safety on a campus, that's pretty good in my book.

Technology: The computers always work, and there are technicians on site and ready to help you with any issues you might have, from logging in, to printing, to general computer errors. I had a problem with a printer charging me for printing pages but never actually printing them. The tech was right next door and came over to observe the issue and resolve it. The missing print funds were returned to my account within 24 hours. Talk about excellent service...

Drug Safety: I have never been offered drugs, nor are drugs a visible part of this university's culture. There are rules against drug use here, but I've never seen any need for patrol or enforcement. If there are drugs here, it's not obvious and people keep it to themselves.

Academics: I like the diversity of the students and the professors. This is a beautiful campus to learn at, and the professors are very willing to help. They are very friendly and passionate about what they teach. Some of the classes can be more difficult than necessary, and difficult for a student who is also employed full-time to undertake, but it can be done. This school has a great English department, but also art (theater, music) and science.

3 College Sophomore

Weather: Augusta never has great weather, but there are a lot of shaded places here and the buildings provide heating and AC.

4 College Sophomore

Administration: It is not very strict at all. People aren't required to stand exactly 200 feet from buildings or whatever the signs say. Everyone is very chill, but the cops are watching for people that run stop signs and speed.

4 College Sophomore

Local Area: There is usually something going on at the amphitheater, but the campus stays peaceful and mostly quiet. If you ask for directions or advice, everyone is open to helping.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Food: I am IN LOVE with the tuna salad sandwiches, and the coffee is nice and cheap, but I wish the JSAC had better quality food in various other arenas. The pizza is mediocre, the chicken tenders are bland, and the hamburger are way too greasy.

2 College Sophomore

Greek Life: They're mostly annoying, and all I ever here from them is written on the sidewalk with chalk. Sometimes I see them dancing to loud music in the student center. Greek life isn't big at ASU anyway.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Start on it early, because although it is aggravating at times, it still works. All I got was HOPE scholarship, but I do not regret going through the process at all.

2 College Freshman

Party Scene: Night life is pretty average there is always a party around but it is usually far but there is really nothing else to do.

2 College Freshman

Diversity: Augusta State is not very diverse most of the people went to high school in the same region making it more like a community college. But other than that there are many different group of people and everyone gets along very well

5 College Freshman

Greek Life: A lot of cool Greek outings. They always bring out free food for students and they can introduce you to many important and helpful people at the college.
