Technology: There are computers located in every building. There are also two 24 hour computer labs, and you get $25 for printing at the beginning of each semester! Of course, each copy cost five cents and for color prints it's ten cents. Our library has three floors and each has computers. Wireless access is easy to use and has improved since last year. There are now more areas on campus that wireless internet is accessible, and it is quite fast.

Guys & Girls: You have to live in UV for people to know or associate with you.

Off-Campus Dining: Walton Way is surrounded by restaurants includes a variety of options.

Local Area: Augusta is a great town. There is a lot of fun places to go and venture out. There is a lot of history in Augusta, especially at Augusta State. The Arsenal is a huge attraction and a must see!

Scholarships: The Financial Aid at Augusta State University is very difficult to get. It is a long process and if you can get in touch with the department over the phone you have accomplished something. There are not many scholarships available here. To ensure you are getting the most that is available, I suggest talking with the Financial Aid office regularly.

Off-Campus Housing: Augusta State University (ASU) provides off-campus apartments for students. Although the apartments are expensive, the apartments are very well worth the money. Even though the apartments are off-campus, the University provides students with transportation via a bus. This makes it very convenient for students who do not have a car.

Majors: A college intership is very important to the future of your professional career. An intership can represent the much need experience in which employers seek in higher entry level employees. Moreover, I havent worked an intership and plan to work at one in a law office. I want to pursue an intership which will relate to my future profession.

Campus Food: The campus dining area at Augusta State is average at best. There customer service is good, but the way they cook some of their foods is done wrong. For example, I notice when they cook hambugers they pour water of the burger while its on the grill. As a result, the burger is dried out. However, they do offer a variety of things and most of the times the food is hot.

Scholarships: The financial aid process has benefited me in my pursuit to graduate from college. I've always recieved my financial aid award package in a timely fashion. The financial aid clerks are willing to sit down with you and talk numbers if necessary. For example, a supervisor in the financial aid office pointed out that I was running out of financial aid and broke down all the aid have left to see if it will cover me through graduation. She also recommended a student loan program for seniors like me that are out of financial aid, but are ready to graduate.

Parking: The availability of parking spaces for students flucuates between high peak times of classes in secession. Early in the moring before 8 am you can get a decent parking space. However, after 10 am you will most likely have to find a parking space off campus. Furthermore, I walk to class since I live five mintunes away from school.

Majors: Very nice school, but housing is located away from campus, and parking is very limited. Advisors are very helpful.

Health & Safety: The campus at Augusta State University isn't very large and it's kept under proper maintenance. The students here are quite playful, but they do not give me a reason to be concerned about safety. No suspicious characters are ever present on campus either.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: The price is reasonable for apartments at Augusta State University. The landlords are hospitable but not excessively nice. Availability may vary, but the apartments are very close to the campus and shopping outlets. Parking is reasonable and safety is assured.

Athletics: We have an excellent workout area at Augusta State University. Our campus encourages tennis, track, basketball, and other sports as well. The students here are very enthusiastic and want to see our school win.

Local Area: The Augusta area does not have the college feeling on or off campus. I am used to being around large colleges like USF in Tampa, Fl. So when i came to ASU it was a reality check for me. Not many places around to socialize or meet new people. The library on campus hours are not flexible during the times you need (for people that work until 5 PM). Augusta is a small city with not that much culture in the area. If i could choose another school to go to i would but there are not many options in this area.

2 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: not many options in the augusta area for apartment living to be around college students. There are many places that are not the best to live at around the augusta area which makes trying to find an off campus living situation hard for students coming from out of the area.

3 College Freshman

Administration: This school has a good biology department and has just recently merged with a medical college. So there are now more majors and programs in medicine and health.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I have never had any problems with security issues. I have always felt safe, even when walking from my late classes.

3 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: the guys and girls differ at Augusta state university. they all come in different shapes and sizes. our school is very diverse , so anyone person can be found here. with asking people if they could find a relationship for themselves here at Augusta state, they all answered no.

Party Scene: the night life for Augusta state university is alright. the only time you could find something to really do at night is sorority parties or school parties. not much to do , and if you try to go to clubs you have to be 21 and older. some can differ, but its generally 21 and older.

2 College Freshman

Local Area: Augusta is hidden and it takes a while to really explore what the area has to offer. going to school at Augusta state university has been an experience but sometimes there isn't much to do here.

5 College Freshman

Campus Food: Augusta state university dining is amazing. there are a variety of food choices and you never have to wait to long to be severed. probably one of the things i love about this college.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Plenty of college affordable restaurants right down the road from University Housing and if you don't have a car then it's nor problem because you can take the public transit.

1 College Freshman

Administration: Umm, if you get caught for underage drinking you can get in some big trouble. If you live in the University housing, you can get kicked out if you let your grades slip or get pregnant. No parties are allowed in school housing either.

4 College Freshman

Transportation: Transportation is good. There are about three shuttles that run every fifteen minutes until after about five in the evening then they run every thirty minutes. There is also public transportation that is free to the college students. Campus police will escort you to your cars if you take late night classes.
