Party Scene

{{ error }}
3 College Freshman

Party Scene: I don't enjoy partying but on Thursday nights there is always something going on for people who do like to go out.

3 College Sophomore

Party Scene: I don't party all that much, but what I do know is that the party scene is active. Many Greek organizations throw parties and downtown is always crowded. The cops do stop most parties near campus before they get too wild, but there are a lot of pre-game options.

4 College Junior

Party Scene: lots of parties and downtown life during the weekends

3 College Sophomore

Party Scene: The partying is good if you're Greek. You can find other ways, or make your own but you have to really look for it. The good thing about Milly is how willing they are to look the other way. Just don't be obvious.

4 College Sophomore

Party Scene: I know that I can always find a social gathering of some sort on the weekends, whether it be in the downtown district or at a fraternity gathering. I believe that the party scene has had a positive impact on my student experience.

Students would say that the best part of Milledgeville’s nightlife is the lack of cover charges for the bars. It is also convenient that you do not have to be 21 to enter the bars; you only have to be 18, so you never miss out on any of the fun!

Thursday nights are the most popular nights for students to go out, and the bars downtown get pretty crowded. All of the bars downtown are within walking distance of the dorms, but if you do not feel like walking, the SNAP service would be happy to pick you up for free. House parties are also common, especially with fraternities. It is sometimes more fun to go to these parties instead of downtown because it is not as crowded and all your friends are in one place. The social scene downtown gives students an opportunity to have fun and be with friends.
