5 College Junior

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: I have taken all online classes so far and I have learned so much.

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: I am learning a lot about the field I am going for and about the community.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: I was attending University of Phoenix for the same program I am taking at Gateway. I feel that I have learned more at Gateway.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The student service staff are very kind and helpful. They answer your questions thoroughly and make sure you succeed.

5 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: The learning success center that has been provided by Gateway to it's students is so beneficial. It's free for students and students can use the help of a tutor as well for better understanding in their class/subject.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Instructors are very helpful and interactive with students. They are expert in whatever they teach and are willing to help their students pass and also understand the subject. Very dedicated to their work.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I love my professors! Each, with the exception of the one I had for my College Technical Math course, has been extremely helpful!

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: While a degree from a small technical college may not be as valued as one from a larger school, you learn everything you need to know in your program of your study so it doesn't matter that much, in my opinion. Employers want to see that you've completed the necessary courses and are interested in what you now know.

Academic Flexibility: I have had no problem scheduling classes. Night-classes are the best option for me since I work two part-time jobs and because of my major, that hasn't been troublesome at all.

3 College Freshman

Online Courses: So far, I've taken two online classes myself. The first was the College Technical Math course which I found to be quite frustrating. The teacher was not very available to the students for help. The second class I took was the Accounting Software Applications class which has been fantastic! The teacher is very interactive with the students and is clear about what is expected. While I was wary of taking an online class again because of the first one I took, I don't regret it now because I realize it really comes down to what teacher you have.

4 College Freshman

Career Services: As alumni, you are notified of job openings through email and workshops are held often.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The courses are straightforward and don't expect you to have a lot of prior knowledge with the material. Everything you need to know is taught to you. That being said, the instructors are always there to help you if you ever run into trouble. The class sizes are small, averaging about 20 students.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The school pushes very heavily to prepare you for the after-college world. There are usually several job fairs a year and emails are sent automatically to students with regards to job opportunities for their program of study.

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: In the accounting program, it's to be expected that the 4- and 5-credit classes would have bigger workloads. That being said, the books used are good for the most part (the Payroll Accounting book was somewhat confusing) and when in doubt, the teachers are always there to guide you and help you understand the material.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: My favorite part about Gateway Tech is that it is small and affordable. I enjoy the classes that are less than 25 people and I have no problem paying for classes. The instructors are incredibly nice and will do anything they can to help you achieve your goals.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: There have been extra class times added when scheduling has become a problem. The instructors are usually pretty flexible . The school does the best it can to accommodate the needs of the students

Online Courses: They are equally as informative, but I prefer face to face interaction.

4 College Junior

Career Services: The school and the instructors are well connected with local business, so it is easier to find employment after graduation. There are opportunities for job placement assistance as well.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Small classes with instructors that actually care how you are doing. Different career path focuses that are very specialized to what you need to learn .

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: There is a lot of job placement assistance and the school is well connected with local business so there are internship opportunities as well.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: I was very pleased to find a school here that still had a horticulture program. The teachers are really amazing and I have learned so much!

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I think this is the best school in my area for associate degree programs
