Online Courses: Taking online courses is just about the same as if you were to take one in person; however it is more convenient to do so online. One is able to be a bit more flexible with their time. Of course you must be aware that you have to be much more responsible, knowing that you have just the same amount of workload and must complete these tasks given to you within the proper time frames. Most of the time you have peer-to-peer interaction as well, just over a computer screen in discussion boards.

Overall Experience: Gateway is part of the Maricopa Community Colleges her in the Phoenix Area. I am just over the halfway mark of the first of two semesters of the LPN fast track to RN program. I understand that any nursing program is difficult and is very demanding, and on top of that there is a waiting period to get into the program. So with all that one might consider that the program is streamline in their curriculum. I paid for all my credits up front and then in the middle of the semester they decided to not consider a review class as being worthy of a credit. This change altered my FASFA classification from a full-time student to part-time, and as a result I was billed the amount of 368.00 on to my student account. This has been the worst experience so far.

My educational the last few years as a single parent has not been easy but I keep on adapting. The instructors have been helpful and patient in teaching my classmates and myself the skills and knowledge that we will require to pass our NCLEX exams, but the skills of a nurse are taught on the job. I would like more access to the lab environment in order to practice our skills and an environment specifically for nursing student to study. I think this would compliment the awesome instructors and material in our text.

Overall Experience: It's a bit far from my house, but a great place to study, especially for nursing. I look forward to the next four years. Overall, I give it a 4 out of 5. It can be quite busy sometimes, but what school isn't!?

Overall Experience: I loved all the help I have received from my advisory. Being the scholarship program I received one on one help form my advisor who helped with anything that I needed, books, enrolling in class, FASFA, and scholarships. As well as helping me think of my options while pregnant and the best way for me to go to school while having the baby. I love that we have many early outreach programs and that they make you feel great here. They show you that you can do a lot more then you think.

Academic Flexibility: GateWay Community College is great, but sometimes it can be hard to get a timely appointment with an Advisor.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Financial aid has been a stressful part of school so far- it is so complicated filling everything out. But I've had help, as the Financial aid phone number is open twenty four hours a day, seven days a week.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I agree with the amount I paid for tuition. unfortunately I was not eligible for financial aid for this first year of the program and so the help of the financial aid staff was very helpful to start looking into other options to help pay for my program.

Overall Experience: the class sizes are a good class size with not too many students in all my classes. the quality of the courses are very advanced and glad that the instructors are able to teach them to us since I know it would be very difficult for me to adequately teach what I'm learning right now to someone that knows nothing about the subject.

Online Courses: My online classes have been excellent so far. The communication between both of my instructors has been hassle-free since there was the notion in my head before the semester started was that all online classes are terrible since there's no way to get a hold of the instructor. That statement is a total opposite from what I'm experiencing with my classes.
