3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: The most abundant drug on campus is Adderall and Vyvanse, for study purposes because the classes are really had. But other than that, there are a lot of people that do not drink but there are a lot that do once you get into the greek scene. Hard drugs are almost non existent and smoking weed is fairly abundant but not more than any regular school.

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: Alcohol is very visible but other than that, not much else goes on.

Drug Safety: I don't participate in drinking/drugs and usually don't feel bothered by other people using them.

Drug Safety: Extremely safe. If you want drugs you can find them but if you aren't interested you can go throughout college and never see any drugs.

As it turns out, the squeaky clean image that Furman students project is more than just an image. Drugs are a difficult thing to find on Furman's campus. Many students say they know of one or two people who use drugs, but a large majority have never even seen an illegal substance on Furman's property. Although there are drugs around, their users are hardly numerous enough to have an actual "drug scene."

Use among Furman students is also much quieter than at most colleges, because it is not a socially-accepted norm. Those who do use illegal drugs are a social irregularity at Furman. Most students are too involved in campus
activities or school work to even think about using drugs. Although there may be more drug use than some students think, there is hardly any impact on Furman's social culture.
