4 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: The classes were really flexible. I took 8 courses as well as having a job of 20-30 hours a week. i also managed to keep a 4.0 gpa while doing all of this.anything is possible the students just need to remain persistent.

Overall Experience: The classroom sizes vary. If it is a difficult class you get many people in the first day but towards the end of the semester there were about 9 people left. The professors are all nice and reasonable with what may happen in life, but it is also the student's responsibility to be able to tell them in a timely manner.

Overall Experience: This college teaches the value of hard work. This saying is true here. The more you put in and buy into your product, the bigger the outcome.

Overall Experience: The school is very nice and kept clean. I would have morning classes and i would see many people working to keep the school clean by cutting grasses and picking up trash. It kinda makes a bigger impact to you as a person to do your part and make sure the campus is kept clean. The instructors are very welcoming and have times to meet if you really need the extra help. All in all, its a great campus.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: Not only have I learned a lot, but I've also learned thing about myself as a person. Art is my passion and working with students and the professors has helped me build my confidence, push me farther, and I've also learned new techniques.

Overall Experience: Most of the professors are great. Even though it's a community college, it's pretty tough. A lot of hard work is needed and the students are great to interact with!

Academic Flexibility: It took a lot of planning but I have had no problem scheduling my classes around my work or family activities. In fact there was one semester where there were considerable family issues and the professors were very understanding and was still able to finish with an excellent GPA.

With careful planning and help from my counselor I was able to apply transfer credits from both the general education and core classes.

Online Courses: I have had quite a few online courses at Fullerton College and have found that I learn just as much as I would in a classroom environment. The first thing I would say is "register early"; the online courses are in high demand and fill up quickly. Next, I would ask what is most important at the time... "Convenience or student/professor interaction"? Thanks to their excellent course management systems, with very user-friendly technology, I have had no problems receiving or submitting assignments. The only drawback is that your questions may not be answered on the spot. However, the instructors do answer your questions in a timely manner and even make themselves available during their office hours.

Every online class I have had the professor assigned at least one group project to ensure peer-to-peer interaction in order to develop familiarity, accountability and team-work. My favorite is that some questions he/she may not answer personally and encourage us to seek help from other students. Of course, there is also plenty of help at the Tutoring Center.

Overall Experience: I would have to say the best experience has been the professors. Every one of them have been very approachable and possess unlimited professional knowledge in their field. I have also found that the class sizes are not overly cumbersome either for the students or instructors. The availability of courses offered at Fullerton College are so many that it could make your head spin if you are not already set on a career path. Be that as it may, they are structured in such a way that you can apply them to other majors in a similar field. Because each professor has unique characteristics, so will their teaching style. There are ways to research a professor or ask around and see which one fits you best.

Career Services: The Fullerton College Career and Life Planning Center offers many resources for job prospects and post-grad services. They start out helping to identify your strengths and talents and give you access to various career information databases including a salary surfer. Networking is made easy with the numerous clubs and associations which many professional alumni still visit and offer advice.

Academic Experience: The most important advice I can give about the Computer Information Systems program is to have a plan and ask as many questions as necessary. I have known some students who have taken advanced courses right away and failed because they did not know the basic fundamentals. Some of the classes may seem intimidating nevertheless, the professors have no problem taking a little extra time clarifying certain subjects for their students. The workload does increase with the more advanced courses but if you stay disciplined and committed you should have no problems. Most of the curriculum is from a textbook though the professors do interject with some real-life experiences given that most, if not all, were once professionals in the field. Getting to and from classes should not be an issue since all the classrooms are located in two buildings neighboring each other.

Although there is no shortage of technology jobs, I have found that most entry-level positions require at least a Bachelors Degree. However, Fullerton College has many connections to Internships and local companies frequently recruit promising students with an Associate Degree.

Overall Experience: I am a Veteran with a career in Manufacturing. After two years of being unemployed I figured a career change was necessary and looked into a few local colleges. After some research and advice from friends and neighbors, I applied online to Fullerton College. The application process was very easy and the Counselor at the Veterans Resource Center was very helpful in setting up a career path and planning my courses. Although some classes were challenging, the professors were very approachable whenever I needed assistance. I received my Associate's Degree in Computer Information Systems within two years and am now flooded with solicitations from Universities from all over the U.S.

However, because I would like to be in management and not just a technician, I chose to return to Fullerton College and pursue a degree in Business Administration. Of course, given the positive experience and academic culture, this should be no problem.

Overall Experience: Fullerton College has an abundance of career prospects with degrees including, but not limited to, Business, Technology, Arts and Social Sciences. At first, I didn't think an Associates Degree from a community college held to much sway, yet since receiving my CIS degree I have been overwhelmed with solicitations from such schools as Azusa Pacific, Arizona State and Florida Polytechnic. Fullerton College has an excellent Transfer Center with many resources to help students with the transfer process. With a Transfer Degree from Fullerton College you are are guaranteed admission into the CSU system with a Junior standing and are given priority consideration when applying for the same Major. In fact, CSU Fullerton's School of Business (ranked 2nd best in California) offers reduced fees to students transferring from Fullerton College.

The Workforce Center at Fullerton College is top notch with plenty of resources and assistance with all your employment needs. Disney and AT&T are some of the employers that recruit from this college and many others that offer Internships in your field of choice.

Academic Flexibility: It's been pretty good. I haven't had many frustrations and if I did, I was able to get them straightened out by talking with the counselors, other students or my Professors.
