Campus Resources

Campus Resources: The campus is well set up and the new science wing is great and offers more resources such as modern labs. Our library is staffed by people who care and are willing to help and will even go an extra step beyond telling you how they will sit down and help you and give ideas as well as offer feedback on yours.

Campus Resources: Resources are perfect for a school this size. The library is very large and has a decent amount of computers. The athletic building is huge, there is a brand new science building, computers are all over campus, lots of opportunities to receive help with class work and get involved. The campus is also very nice looking in general.

Campus Resources: The campus environment feels safe and clean and students are kind and friendly. Library printers are easily accessible and open computers are often available.

Campus Resources: The campus offers the basic resources that I need but I do not often utilize them. I have not even been in the library because I prefer the public library downtown. I hear about campus activities but I have not been formally invited to any.The general campus aesthetic fits how you would expect a community college to be. The lack of "community" is definitely there though.

Campus Resources: Frederick Community College offers excellent campus resources for both prospective students as well as current students. The library is very well organized and generously stocked with a wide variety of resources for students to use. The faculty is also kind and helpful. As a student who can struggle a bit with mathematics, the math tutoring center was a wonderful bonus where I could receive one-on-one lessons on whatever topics necessary. The cafeteria is clean and inviting with plenty of space for students to spread out and study, as well as the various students centers amongst campus which serve as private work areas.

The newest addition to our campus, the H Building, has state-of-the-art SMART Boards for interactive activities. Our computers are all Windows XP, with a few Macs here and there, and computer labs are spread throughout campus. In addition to all the computer labs, the H Building also has a "Gamer's Room" for students who want to play video games.  Bring a controller and start up a tournament with friends on one fo the four big-screen TVs! Across the hall is a room with two pool tables and a few chairs. H Building also comes with study rooms for those who want to use their own computers and sit in silence.

FCC has free wi-fi across the campus that reaches even to the parking lots. Many students choose to bring their own computers and lounge in the Cougar Cafe with their headphones on. With high back booths, bar-stool tables, and lunch tables, students can kick back, relax, and finish that paper that is due in 30 minutes.
