3 College Junior

Guys & Girls: Everyone on campus is extremely accepting of others, for example, the Rugby teams have openly gay/lesbian teammates and do not treat them any differently than anyone else. They also accept students that would not normally be on sports teams to begin with.

4 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: People don't care what you wear, and have gotten over the fact of girls vs. guys attitude, and made friends not based upon sex.

4 College Student

Guys & Girls: Because we are a private university we have students from all over the place, no two students are the same. However that changes a bit when it comes to a sports team which there is a lot of on campus. When on a sports team everyone acts the same.

3 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: Relationships are easy to make

3 College Junior

Guys & Girls: You should get the chance to know anyone and everyone on campus. It's very diverse and each person is interested in a variety of different areas.

Both guys and girls are pretty ambitious students who recognize that they are here to gain skills necessary to achieve in their respective occupations. One of the nicest things about this school is that everyone has his / her own identity and people do not try to conform to a certain standard. Most people are pretty outgoing and friendly, and respect the beliefs and values of their peers. Professors respect diversity and difference as well, and many of them wear funky clothes and jeans. Several male professors have long hair and are unshaven, proving that they are not trying to conform to a typical "professor image" (clean shaven, suit, tie, etc.).

The one negative thing about students and professors alike at this school is that many of them smoke. Old cigarettes can be found littered all over the campus, and one of the mass communications professors even had to extinguish a small fire caused by a cigarette this past April.

Social Scene
Social interaction is a big part of the student community. Students are very friendly and enjoy interacting with each other both in class and on campus. In addition, house and apartment parties, sporting games, and other community events are a great way to spend time with friends and meet new people.
Hookups or Relationships?
There is a nice balance between hookups and relationships. Like every other college or university in the United States, hooking up is popular among students, but long-term relationships are more prevalent here than in many schools.
Dress Code
There is no dress code here, adding to the laid back atmosphere on campus. Students are encouraged to wear whatever makes them feel comfortable, whether that be designer clothing, baggy jeans, or seventies-style gear. Earings, dreadlocks, body piercings, and unique clothing styles are also commonplace. Part of going to school way out in the country means abandoning conformity and wearing what makes you feel comfortable.
