The student life here is very excellent, with Households (Christian "fraternities" and "sororities") at the centre. Franciscan has exceptional academics with professors who are dedicated to their students. I am also a participant in the Great Books Honors program here which I think is an excellent example of what our liberal arts are like. We are very strong in Theology, which I think is wonderful, although sometimes I think the administration needs to remember to not sacrifice other programs just because Theology is what we are well known for. Overall, I think FUS does a superb job forming lay disciples to go forth and sanctify the temporal order.

I have been blessed and given so many opportunities through franciscan. I was able to study abroad in Austria in the foothills of the Austrian alps for a whole semester. It was one of the most life changing semesters from spiritual pilgrimages, learning to travel on your own, the amazing classes, and the people. The philosophy and theology courses in Austria opened my eyes to seeing the human person in its true dignity and form, and marriage was taught to be so pure and seen in the eyes of Christ and mediated by the Holy Spirit. On main campus I was also able to take amazing classes such as human embryology, Christian moral principles, and more life changing classes. I was also given an opportunity to serve the poorest of the poor in Honduras. The experience is unforgettable, and it was one of the happiest moments of my life. Franciscan is full of opportunities but what makes it amazing is the faculty and staff. The Friars are your friends, and they will even be seen playing frisbee with students around campus. The people are happy, caring, and friendly. The people I have met at franciscan are some of the best and influential people I have ever met! There is no other place like Franciscan, and I am honored to call it home.

I absolutely love the atmosphere at Franciscan! Everyone is so friendly and it's completely faith-filled. Academics are great, they just need to get everyone on the same core and it'll be perfect!
