5 College Freshman

Academics: I love my major, I look forward to event from guest speakers to activities based in my major every month.

5 College Freshman

Academics: FSU has a wide range of academics. All of the professors that I have had are very well educated, intelligent people.

4 College Freshman

Transportation: I have not taken the public bus system but the campus bus is excellent during the week days.

College Freshman

Guys & Girls: Most people seem like nice and friendly human beings. On campus most people I find are polite and friendly

College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I do not live off of campus so I don't have knowledge of the quality of off campus housing.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are excellent off campus options if you have a car. However, If you don't then you must walk to places or take a bus.

5 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: Everyone is varied, you'll fined your niche whatever quirks you have or activities you like

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: The social aspect of the dorm is nice for the first year when you get to know everyone but next year I will definitely move off campus!

5 College Sophomore

Local Area: I love my city, there is always something to do or something new to discover and great opportunities with the state capitol!

2 College Sophomore

Campus Food: the meal plan is very restrictive, there are only 2 convenient dining halls with the same repetitive options.

Drug Safety: We are a party school. But most people know when it's time to go out and when it's time to work hard.

Off-Campus Dining: Some of the best food I've ever had

4 College Sophomore

Technology: As long as you have an Ethernet cable the internet works fine!

4 College Sophomore

Campus Quality: I love my campus but it could be a little more eco friendly!

3 College Sophomore

Parking: I have gotten 3 tickets amounting to $90. It is hard to find spots.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: I am not a Greek. They have very nice houses and are visible on campus. The sororities do a lot of philanthropies while the fraternities are lacking in the donation department

Administration: The lack of strictness in attendance allows students to be responsible for their own time management and grades in the classes.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: There is little diversity with concerns to race.

College Sophomore

Majors: I have an internship for next semester

5 College Sophomore

Majors: I have had many opportunities through my program and the professors are always willing to talk.

Off-Campus Housing: It is incredibly expensive to live off campus. Hardly any apartments include electric in their monthly rent and most charge $600+ per person per month.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: The airport is terrible. It has almost no flights, none are direct, and it's incredibly expensive. There is a Greyhound bus in town and there are many ride sharing pages on facebook.

2 College Freshman

Local Area: Besides being on campus and going to the college bars and clubs the city is pretty political. There isn't much to do besides the college life but I also haven't had the chance to explore much. However, the campus and college parts of the city provide plenty of entertainment.

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: There are options to go out every single night of the week. If you go to a bar or club the cover chargers range from $0-$20, it all depends on the night. Frats throw parties and those are a lot of fun, sometimes you have to be on a list to get in and sometimes they charge for boys to get in. You can go into almost any bar or club underage, and unless you can walk to the bar or club most people take cabs. Cabs can be pricey but sometimes they are $5 to anywhere. There is also a free safe bus that will pick you up anywhere on campus and take you anywhere on campus, the only problem is sometimes it takes a while or leaves without you.

You would be hard-pressed to find a graduate of Florida State University who doesn’t have fond memories of the years they spent on campus. Current students will also agree that they are happy with their decision to attend school here. There is something for everyone, from athletics to academia, and you would have a hard time finding a more comfortable setting than Tallahassee. It has so much to offer, from exciting nightlife to beautiful weather.

Although it bears the reputation of a party school, FSU also has a growing reputation for turning out some of the best and brightest graduates in the entire nation. The school is now turning its focus on research, which should appeal to those interested in science and mathematics. But never fear, FSU also emphasizes the arts through their award-winning film and theater departments. From math and science, to the arts, FSU offers a vast array of eclectic degrees, which will be nothing but helpful later in your life. Choosing which college to attend is not an easy decision, but if you’re looking for the perfect combination of a good education and a good time, you can’t do much better than Florida State University.
