Diversity: Florida State University is very diverse in all aspects. I love that students are so accepting of each other at this school. There are clubs and groups for every kind of political or religious group so that students can join and feel unified. No one is judged and everyone pretty much gets along.

Transportation: Buses are always available for students to ride for free around town and campus. The town is always very crowded and roads are narrow, so driving places in your own car can be hectic sometimes. My family lives seven hours away from my school, so visiting them for holidays is always costly; airplane tickets are very expensive, so I always have to drive my own car home. Carpooling is a good option because there are always students who do not have cars and live close by. There are also buses that students use to visit their families that pick students up directly from campus. Depending on the quality of the bus, students may not have to pay that much to ride.

Greek Life: I am not involved in Greek Life (I am in Pi Gamma Mu Social Science Honor Society, but that is not considered a fraternity or sorority). However, many people that I see around campus are and it seems to be a huge deal here. There are many opulent sorority and fraternity houses that the members live in. I've heard that it is expensive to be in a fraternity or a sorority, but it is an amazing experience. A lot of students who are not involved tend to look at the Greek Life students as being stuck-up sometimes; they are also considered to be the popular and well-rounded students on campus. A lot of the students that are involved are very physically attractive and have outgoing personalities.

Health & Safety: The campus police always seem to be available. Tallahassee (the town that the campus is in) is not always safe to walking alone in at night, so I feel much better walking in a group. There have only been a few instances of robberies or violence here.

Campus Housing: Some dorms are better in quality than others; some are also older than others. Kellum Hall and Dorman Hall are considered old dorms on campus (they cost less to live in) and Tradition Hall, Cawthon Hall, and Reagan Hall are considered to be the nicer and more expensive dorms. There are campus buses and shuttles that are constantly running every few minutes and take students anywhere that they need to go for free. Everything on campus is also in walking or biking distance. There are restaurants near all of the dorms. The social atmosphere is nice; there are always activities going on in the dorms and many students around to participate in them.

Athletics: Florida State University's Football team is number 1 in the country right now. My whole school is very spirited and supportive of all sports here. The attendance to watch any sport is always large. The facilities are all taken care of and clean for students to use whenever they have practice or games.

Administration: Florida State University's campus is safe. Campus police are always doing their job. The only complaint that I have is that it could get very noisy on the weekends or even during final exam week when students complete their exams early in the week and start partying. The honor code is strictly enforced here, so I haven't seen many instances of students cheating here. Creating a new club on campus also requires passing an exam and getting permission from several important people and organizations.

Campus Quality: The libraries are always packed with students because they are open 24/7 and have restaurants and coffee available inside. The Student Union is also where everything goes on (event wise), so that is a popular place for students to hangout on campus. There is a bowling alley and many restaurants and shops in the Student Union. One event that every student on campus loves to attend is FSU Pow Wow; this is where a famous person (comedian or actor/actress) comes to our school and puts on a show at the Civic Center during Homecoming Week. Before the show, the cheerleaders, marching band, and dancers show off their entertaining routines for the whole school to see. Thousands of students wait in line for hours just to attend this spectacular event. One more thing that is so much fun here at FSU is attending free concerts at the Student Union on the weekends. Musical artists and bands come to FSU and put on a show and students get to attend for free with their student I.D.s!

Campus Quality: There are so many academic programs to choose from at Florida State University. I also love that they have every club and sport imaginable. I am Vice President of Students Promoting Autism Awareness Club; we volunteer and places and events with people who have various special needs (even off campus). Everyone is super friendly here and the school spirit and unity is bigger here than anywhere else, in my opinion. The campus is safe and there is always something fun and creative going on..even during the evening time!

Local Area: There is not much to do in Tallahassee.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Drug usage is seen but not that big of a part of campus. Alcohol on the other hand is prominent.

3 College Sophomore

Parking: Parking permits are free for campus. Overnight parking is hard to find on campus. Other than that parking is not that bad.

4 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Greek life is a wonderful opportunity for students on campus. It helps you make connections on and off campus.

Campus Food: I have only eaten on campus a couple times but there is a variety of options available.

Health & Safety: Campus police is very helpful. I normally feel very comfortable walking on campus alone but being a girl I have to be more cautious.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Last year dealing with financial aid was very difficult. This year however it went much more smoothly.

Off-Campus Housing: Many new complexes around the campus. They are pricey but worth it because you are able to walk to class. Very safe.

3 College Sophomore

Administration: The school policies seem to be similar to all other university policies.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: FSU is a wonderful place to be. I was not sure about coming here at first but now into my sophomore year i could not image a better school.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: Since FSU is so large the diversity here is enormous. Many people from all over.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Quality: FSU has a beautiful campus. Teachers are always approachable, which is important in such a large school. Always something to do whether on campus or not.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Quality: Many different libraries to pick from.

3 College Sophomore

Technology: Internet is always fairly decent. Never used a computer lab on campus expect for taking a quiz or test.

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: The FSU bus system seems to be reliable. The only difficulty I have had with it is figuring out the times and which bus is best for where I want to go.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: There is a exceptional amount of security on campus which allows students to feel safe and secure when walking alone at night. The Wellness center is advanced and provides really great services however it is difficult to get an appointment when you are really requiring to see a doctor.
