Transportation: Everything is conveniently close to campus.

Drug Safety: You don't have to do drugs to fit in.

Greek Life: I'm in a sorority. Greek life is huge but if you're not in one, you won't have as much fun but will still have fun. Some view us as bad and some view us as good.

Parking: You don't need a car at FSU but it's convenient. There should be less teacher parking and a few more student spots. Overall not bad.

4 College Sophomore

Weather: It's Florida so it's kind of unpredictable but people still support.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Quality: There are so many facilities that are amazing to students and always available.

Campus Quality: The libraries are great and it is such s fun school.

Campus Housing: Some dorms are better than others but overall not bad.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Just like any college town

Parking: Certain garages at FSU, most notably Woodward and Traditions, are basically impossible to find a spot at past 8:00am. Permit cost was free, and most of the garages are a decent walk to your classes.

Guys & Girls: I have never seen so many beautiful people in my life. FSU really is full of beautiful people and it's easy to make friends here. I usually had trouble making friends but found it's as easy to strike up a conversation with the most intimidating looking people as it is to talk to anyone you had classes every year with in high school.

Administration: FSU is an easy place to have freedom. As far as I can tell, you don't have to worry about getting in trouble for anything unless you are taking away from another student's experience at the college. The campus has a zero-tolerance policy on hate speech, and while some may argue this is taking way from personal freedoms, I think it does a great idea of keeping negative-impact thoughts private.

Weather: Living off campus, sometimes I like to drive. When it rains, I always have the option to use public transportation, as it's free and pretty much always somewhere around in Tallahassee.

Overall Experience: In terms of academics and where I want to be for my college experience, Florida State University is the college for me. I have a lot of say in my major and the professors are always willing to talk to me. I've never felt uncomfortable on my campus or even in Tallahassee. Even though I've only been here for one semester, I wouldn't choose to go anywhere else.

Drug Safety: Really I would say the drug scene is great in terms of it being almost nonexistent (or invisible) from what I can tell. I have never been peer pressured into anything, and while drinking is a social thing I, I don't see it negatively impacting people to the extent that I would imagine most colleges would have. In my time in Tallahassee I have only been offered drugs once, and the incident happened off-campus.

Transportation: Getting around Tallahassee is easy and free almost any day of the week, with the exception of Sundays. You should never have an issue getting anywhere, and there are plenty of late-night options running all night for people who drink.

Athletics: Florida State University has the best college football team in the nation and is known nation-wide for its basketball team. School spirit here is always at an all-time high and student performance is always seen in our display of Garnet and Gold. This really is a great school in terms of its athletic programs, easily one of the best.

Campus Quality: FSU has a beautiful campus. Everything from the student living halls, to the libraries, to the stadium is made with beautiful red brick which makes the campus itself feel like an aesthetic tradition. There is always something going on each day of the week. On campus is a cinema, a gaming lounge with all of the latest consoles, several 24 hour libraries, and restaurants you can eat at most days of the week.

Campus Quality: Unfortunately I went to FSU as a transfer student and did not have the opportunity to live on campus, but as an anthropology major whose department was cut several years ago and is just now making a come back, it seems as if students at FSU have a huge opportunity to get involved with their academic interests. In my case, my friends going to other colleges do not have the kind of opportunities presented to me on a weekly basis. If there is anything I wish to get involved in, there is bound to be an organization on campus related to it.

Diversity: There really is a large amount of diversity at FSU. In a simple walk through campus, you're bound to hear at least three different languages being spoken at almost every corner. There are plenty of people from all walks of life, along with plenty of religious groups on campus representing the great majority of religions I can name. Sexual orientation seems to be pretty open at FSU, and I've found almost everyone to be accepting of it.

You would be hard-pressed to find a graduate of Florida State University who doesn’t have fond memories of the years they spent on campus. Current students will also agree that they are happy with their decision to attend school here. There is something for everyone, from athletics to academia, and you would have a hard time finding a more comfortable setting than Tallahassee. It has so much to offer, from exciting nightlife to beautiful weather.

Although it bears the reputation of a party school, FSU also has a growing reputation for turning out some of the best and brightest graduates in the entire nation. The school is now turning its focus on research, which should appeal to those interested in science and mathematics. But never fear, FSU also emphasizes the arts through their award-winning film and theater departments. From math and science, to the arts, FSU offers a vast array of eclectic degrees, which will be nothing but helpful later in your life. Choosing which college to attend is not an easy decision, but if you’re looking for the perfect combination of a good education and a good time, you can’t do much better than Florida State University.
