3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: We need to switch up the options

4 College Junior

Party Scene: Tally has a great nightlife

3 College Junior

Administration: Just as strict as any other university IMO

2 College Junior

Scholarships: They took away my aid last minute

3 College Junior

Campus Food: It's like a food court in the mall minus all the options

Campus Housing: Some dorm rooms are very small

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: Off-campus housing can be either great and in a convenient location or way too far and way too expensive.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There are many restaurants, offering students many places to go when they are tired of on-campus food.

4 College Sophomore

Party Scene: There is always some kind of event going on, allowing for you to go out when you want, not necessarily always on a scheduled day.

3 College Sophomore

Administration: FSU offers many guidelines that they expect students to follow. It helps students stay on track with their studies and limits illegal activity.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: It takes a very long time, especially at the beginning of the semester to get in touch with Student Financial Services. The phone wait is roughly 3 hours, and the offices are always slammed with students trying to get help. But, if you wait it out, the people in the office are very helpful and nice.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Food: There are many different restaurants on campus, along with dining halls. Also, many sororities offer meal plans to replace the campus meal plan. Flex Bux can roll over from year to year so you're not obligated to use them all your first year.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Living on campus offers a great community and a great location in relation to classes. The RAs are awesome and the cost is very reasonable.

5 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There's a great variety in Tallahassee, whether you have money to blow or you're scraping together your last pennies for a meal.

5 College Freshman

Party Scene: There's something to do every night, at any of the clubs or bars. We definitely have the best night life in the state.

3 College Freshman

Administration: They are very strict about the important things, which is all that matters.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: The wait in the financial aid office is always terrible.

4 College Freshman

Campus Food: I love the restaurants on campus, but I do not have a meal plan.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: My dorm was one of the oldest on campus and was very far from all of my classes. The quality of the building was poor and not spacious at all.

4 Recent Alumnus

Off-Campus Housing: Cheaper than on-campus and more spacious.

Scholarships: Bright Futures was very helpful.

Campus Housing: Campus life is great as a freshman.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: It could definitely be worst. The worst part is definitely that they close so early on Friday and Saturday and leave students to fend for themselves. I understand it's college but the meal plan should be renamed to "Unlimited Meal-Plan as long as you don't get hungry after 7:30pm on weekends." The food is sometimes good but sometimes I'm scavenging to find something I like to eat. Half the stations close an hour before closing time and going 30 minutes before they close you can only get some bread and maybe water if your lucky. They should either work until it's time to go or fix their schedule they show people to show when each individual station closes so people don't feel ripped off and can plan their schedule accordingly.

You would be hard-pressed to find a graduate of Florida State University who doesn’t have fond memories of the years they spent on campus. Current students will also agree that they are happy with their decision to attend school here. There is something for everyone, from athletics to academia, and you would have a hard time finding a more comfortable setting than Tallahassee. It has so much to offer, from exciting nightlife to beautiful weather.

Although it bears the reputation of a party school, FSU also has a growing reputation for turning out some of the best and brightest graduates in the entire nation. The school is now turning its focus on research, which should appeal to those interested in science and mathematics. But never fear, FSU also emphasizes the arts through their award-winning film and theater departments. From math and science, to the arts, FSU offers a vast array of eclectic degrees, which will be nothing but helpful later in your life. Choosing which college to attend is not an easy decision, but if you’re looking for the perfect combination of a good education and a good time, you can’t do much better than Florida State University.
