Off-Campus Dining: Off-campus dining is pretty spot on. There is some diversity and great quality in food and service. I have gone out many times with friends and have had some of the best meals of my life. I just wish it wasn't all so expensive. It can empty your wallet pretty quickly.

Health & Safety: The one great thing about FSU is that we have our own police station: FSUPD. They are always on campus whether walking around, on golf carts, or patrolling in marked FSUPD cars, their presence is known. I know if I was in danger, they would be there to help me. We also have something called the "Blue Light Trail," which is a series of 400 strategically placed poles around campus that each have a blue light attached to give light to the path, as well as a built in call button that if pushed will connect the person immediately to a dispatcher to help. This is an added safety to campus that gives me ease when walking alone. I am not naive and do keep watch on my surroundings, especially if I am walking home alone at night. But I have never once felt my safety was in danger.

Technology: I only say "bad" as of this year. For some reason, FSU's Wi-Fi and internet has been very inconsistent. I'll have a week of great internet, and then 2 weeks of terrible internet where it is slow, I get disconnected easily, and or I cannot connect at all. I have used the on-campus computer labs and those are pretty good. They have updated computers such as Mac Apple desktops or Acer desktops and those are always dependable. I don't bother to print on campus because I never know when the printer will or will not work. I usually print at home from my laptop. But if worse comes to worse, I always can rely on a computer lab to get my work done and then I'll send it to myself and print my work at home.

Athletics: I say this because 1) our football team is the best in the country. So the program is very central to our school and its pride. They take care of the fans, and fans show their love and support for our team. Besides this, our other athletic programs are very diverse and work hard to acquire good sportsmanship and be the best competitors. Basketball is good, and even our women's teams are some of the best there is in college sports. I believe the biggest part of our school spirit is tied to our athletics. It brings our school together as one.

Transportation: There are many bus services around campus at FSU, but I don't use them because they are not 100% reliable. I have been late to many classes because of unexpected stops made, drivers taking pit stops for longer periods of time and switching drivers, and students taking too long to get out of and on to the buses. I prefer to drive, but I know of many people who rely on the buses and do not experience too many bad incidents like I have.

Off-Campus Housing: At FSU, there is a vast array of choices for possible housing off-campus. Most of off-campus housing is cheaper in rent than the higher class dorms are on campus. That is one of the main reasons I left the dorm life. Some of the pros have been less noise because I live more isolated from people verses being in a dorm on a floor with many people crammed together, I have my own space for privacy and freedom, I have a kitchen I can cook in, and I can entertain people for dinners, movies, or just hanging out, verses being cramped into a small dorm and having to wait to use the housing building's floor kitchen. Cons would be that FSU does not have great parking, so living off campus means either taking a bus to campus or driving my car and finding parking can be a huge frustration.

Local Area: Tallahassee only sucks if you don't venture outside of the three miles that comprise the college area. There are countless parks and springs and rivers to enjoy, a great comedy scene, an amazing theatre scene, and a big emphasis on local businesses.

Transportation: The bus routes are great, and the Nite Nole has saved so many people from drunk driving. There are apps to see where the buses are and how long until they get to certain stops, and also that show how much availability there is in all of the parking garages. Can't complain at all.

Scholarships: Like any other large public university, you will wait a minimum of an hour to speak to a financial aid counselor in person, and likely two hours on the phone.

Diversity: Not a lot of racial diversity, but that's largely due to the fact that one of the biggest HBCUs is next door. Undoubtedly a predominantly white school. Wide ranges of religions and political beliefs actively promoted and discussed all throughout campus.

Technology: The wifi on campus has its moments.

The library also offers computers and laptops to check out for a time limit if your computer is not working

Local Area: There is always something to do, its also very laid back.

Weather: Tallahassee, Florida has its good days and bad days

It gets cold in the winter and hot in the summer, and it can rain, but thats anywhere in florida.

Doesn't effect the love for my school though.

Drug Safety: Our school is very safe about drugs.

Your in a college town so you might be exposed to those who use drugs but there is no peer pressure to use them.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: It has its perks cause your directly on campus.

Some dorms are newer than others.

The rooms are a decent size, but no one in particularly likes living in a dorm.

4 College Freshman

Transportation: There is buses all over campus and it takes you to off campus housing as well.

Local transportation is free for students with a valid ID.

Long distance you have to pay for yourself, but there is many options to get back home.

4 College Freshman

Diversity: Our school is very open to diversity, but every individual has their own opinion , so you can't change everyones opinion. But overall out school is accepting

5 College Freshman

Academics: School is school, so it isn't going to come easy. But if you put in time and dedication, you will succeed. The workload is average and teachers are always willing to help.

Scholarships: You get your money and its an easy process, it's just hard to get a hold of the financial aid office.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: There are buses for on and off campus transportation as well as a shuttle and zip cars available for rental

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I don't live off campus but there are a lot of options and from what I've heard most of them are pretty nice

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: There are good halls and very bad ones. I got lucky with the hall I live in and it's still not exactly a castle compared to the better halls at other schools

3 College Freshman

Local Area: It's not the worst place I've ever lived and I prefer my hometown but it has its charms and if you look in the right places it can be a nice place to live

3 College Freshman

Administration: A lot goes on unchecked around here but when they do notice stuff that's against the rules they're not going to ignore it
