4 College Sophomore

Campus Food: There are plenty of different options to satisfy all your cravings. They are decently located to the dorms and arent too expensive.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Its not too bad to live on campus. We are located near classes and near common destinations. It is expensive but so are all other dorms. I dont like my roommate and we dont have our own rooms which is annoyying.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: There are some really nice options like 601 Copeland and UClub if you don't mind the hefty price, and there are some less nice options that are dirt cheap.

3 College Junior

Administration: FSUPD are useless, but there are benefits to that... underage drinking is a nonissue

5 College Junior

Party Scene: Places to go every night of the week

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: Some of the dorms are brand new and super nice, but others are in need of serious renovation. Beware of Smith/Kellum and Dorman/Deviney.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I had few options for off-campus housing because people here are quick to act, but I found a place close to campus that I am extremely interested in.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: I typically only utilize Jimmy Johns for a late night dinner.

3 College Freshman

Administration: I'm not typically the type to deal with the administration, but I know of people who have gotten into huge trouble when they get into relations with the admin/police on campus

1 College Freshman

Scholarships: The topic of money is one that is always relevant when i speak to my parents on the phone. Financial aid is the hardest part about being in college. I would take all of the hardest classes on campus in exchange for not dealing with financial aid.

Party Scene: Amazing night life. Biggest perk of FSU!

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: Being a vegetarian, I sometimes have nearly no options for food at the dining halls. I do not have a meal plan, so it can get expensive to dine.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I love living on campus, but my dorm itself is horrible.

4 College Freshman

Greek Life: Lots of greeks on campus

5 College Freshman

Athletics: great sports teams and great clubs to sport the various teams

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: lots to choose from will be living off campus next yr

2 College Freshman

Scholarships: I did well in HS, was actively involved in sports and activities and am in three honor societies at FSU and don't have many scholarship offers other than bright futures and loan options.

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: I don't party a lot. we have date functions and socials with my sorority

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: expensive. My dorm choice requires that you have a meal plan

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I am in one of the older dorms- used to be the attic and ventilation is bad.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: There are plenty of apartments and off campus housing with reasonable prices and good locations.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are definitely more options off campus than on campus and at times I wish I was able to get off campus to eat a nice dinner rather than a tv dinner.

3 College Freshman

Administration: It's pretty strict when it comes to parking. My friend once had three tickets in a month's time for parking in places she didn't even know wasn't allowed and I was in the car and thought it was okay too. It gets frustrating when you're stopped for doing something totally fine as well.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Since the multiple assaults on campus it has improved.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: It was hard at times to speak to a representative from FSU financial aid office. The myFSU page wouldn't update all the time either so it was frustrating to know whether or not the funding was processed fully and correctly. Tips would be to make sure you know who you're talking to because I once had to go through three phone numbers/connections before finally speaking to the person I needed to talk to.

You would be hard-pressed to find a graduate of Florida State University who doesn’t have fond memories of the years they spent on campus. Current students will also agree that they are happy with their decision to attend school here. There is something for everyone, from athletics to academia, and you would have a hard time finding a more comfortable setting than Tallahassee. It has so much to offer, from exciting nightlife to beautiful weather.

Although it bears the reputation of a party school, FSU also has a growing reputation for turning out some of the best and brightest graduates in the entire nation. The school is now turning its focus on research, which should appeal to those interested in science and mathematics. But never fear, FSU also emphasizes the arts through their award-winning film and theater departments. From math and science, to the arts, FSU offers a vast array of eclectic degrees, which will be nothing but helpful later in your life. Choosing which college to attend is not an easy decision, but if you’re looking for the perfect combination of a good education and a good time, you can’t do much better than Florida State University.
