Administration: Campus strictness really is great. There are police all over campus, but they are pretty strict about parking violations and drugs/alcohol in dorms. Attendance in class, from my experience, hasn't been extremely strict, but my professors still encouraged us to come.

Campus Food: The dining halls really aren't that terrible, but there ARE limited healthy options and the quality of food could definitely be better. If you're vegetarian, I don't recommend getting a meal plan since options would only be limited to mainly the salad bar, cereal, pizza, and maybe a random side from another station. The restaurants on campus are all pretty good, but can be a bit pricier since they are on campus.

Scholarships: The financial aid process went pretty smoothly for me and the financial aid office was very quick to make updates to my account. I recommend visiting the office in person to solve any concerns rather than calling. You get helped much faster.

Campus Housing: The housing is absolutely amazing! The dorms are very spacious, renovated, clean, and new ones are even being built right now. RAs conduct social events with free food for their hallways every couple of weeks. The halls themselves even have social events as well for the whole entire residence hall, a great way to meet new people! Many of the dorms are in the middle of campus, so they're not too far from classroom buildings.

Off-Campus Dining: I guess we have all of the normal food places and some other places that I've only ever seen in Tallahasee so that's nice.

Campus Food: I mean, to be honest.... I ate at Chick Fil A almost every single day. Coming from a home where I always had healthy food, this was such a big shock to my system and not very good for my body image. I wish things were healthier but that's really it.

Campus Housing: I lived in Reynold's Hall during my first year. I was lucky enough to have a decent sized room but a lot of things still bothered me in it. It wasn't the cleanest when I moved it so that's a major issue for me. However, I heard a lot worse things from other residents in alternate dorm halls so that made me feel somewhat lucky. For the price of dorms, I don;t particularly think that it is worth living there. Although it is convenient to live so close to class (therefore no driving and parking), it's definitely not worth the cost of dorms plus the FORCED meal plan.

Off-Campus Housing: places are easy to find off-campus, and really cheap, too

Off-Campus Housing: There are so many new apartment complexes popping up and most apartments are REALLY nice. Catalyst, Stadium Centre, UClub, 601 Copeland, and the newest one, Onyx, are all modern, spacious and relatively safe. All are walking distance from campus, but driving to campus is faster (except if your class is scheduled during the parking rush hour).

Academics: FSU is the perfect fit for me. I worked my butt off in high school taking 10+ AP classes, so classes are right in my comfort zone. It's all about taking notes and studying. My major needs to offer more classes that are on the course catalog and I've had some average and less than average professors, but a few gems each semester. It's undergrad at a state school... Classes/professors are hit or miss.

Campus Quality: The tour of FSU sold me. It's gorgeous... Like taking a nature walk every day. The buzz of people walking around campus makes me feel the feels. Sitting/studying/petting dogs/hammocking/tanning on Landis are all musts. The Union is a great place to eat and Market Wednesdays are really fun! Westcott fountain is majestic. Sorority row has some unique and beautiful houses. The classroom buildings are great, especially HCB and the Health/Wellness center. Even the musty ones have a certain character that's hard not to love. Campus is always being improved which is super nice.

Overall Experience: Florida State just gives me good vibes. People are friendly, attractive, and surprisingly studious. The campus is breathtaking and there's always something to do. I've enjoyed many of my classes because of the professors. I wish that my major, Environmental Studies, offered more classes though. FSU football and nightlife make everything worth while. I've met some incredible people here and can't wait for the rest of my college years in Tallahassee.

Overall Experience: I have had at least one significantly great professor each semester. They're not all shining stars, but some REALLY ARE. The good ones are passionate, articulate and communicate well on a personal level with students. It's mainly about the luck of the schedule.

Overall Experience: So many girls in my sorority who just graduated scored great internships during their time at FSU. From what I've heard the business, film and psychology schools prepare students really well. Each department deeply cares and provides resources for students to take advantage of opportunities. The career center will help you make a fantastic resume. Most advisors and faculty are truly caring and helpful.

Local Area: FSU is more about the people than the place. The roads are small and always crowded with traffic regardless of what time it is. There's homeless people all over. The shopping is nothing compared to major cities (besides a few nice boutiques). It's 100% college town and not a great place to be afterward... Especially if you love the beach. The scenery is nice though and Tally has some unforgettable food and nightlife. I'll come back and visit!

Greek Life: I am in a sorority and it's not all it's cracked up to be. I like being social and having events, parties, philanthropies and connections, but true sisterhood isn't going to magically appear after rush. They're mainly full of superficial girls who are basically stuck in high school. You still need to meet people in your classes and dorm to find true friends and connections. 99% of fraternity guys are cocky and gross, be warned. But hey, the houses are pretty and food is great.

Athletics: School spirit is so important. You will live for the garnet and gold. Every sports team has been outstanding this past year. Football, baseball, women's soccer, and softball won ACC championships. The games themselves are so fun to watch. The Leach is a great place to work out.

Off-Campus Dining: Tally has some dank food. You will NEVER be disappointed, but the freshman 15 is real!! You're gonna get addicted to local faves like Momo's pizza and Roboto's like I did. You can even find some nice, upscale places for date nights like Kool Beanz and Masa. Delivery until 3 am from Bite, Z-baked and Gumby's make any night out complete.

4 College Sophomore

Administration: My suitemates were caught with alcohol in their dorm and ended up with court dates. Just don't be loud and rowdy. The night staff are there to enforce rules. I could smell weed often in my hall and I've seen officers of TPD in my dorm elevator. However, I have seen police stand outside of frat parties watching underage drinkers stumble into cabs. They really only care that people get home safe and nobody is getting hurt. Of course, the shooting in November proves the speed and effectiveness of our campus officers in dire situations.

There is something for everyone, from athletics to academia, and you would have a hard time finding a more comfortable setting than Tallahassee.
