Party Scene: I'm not big into the partying scene but there are drink specials, happy hour, and clubs always having events every night of the week. The events depend on the day and the clubs that are open. Tons of people pregame before going out and some that have a fake ID will get drinks while they're out as well. People typically are smart and take ubers or the party bus to get to and from the clubs.

Party Scene: There aren't as many parties as one would think and more events take place at the clubs in town.

Academics: I think that we have some strong programs as well as some that could use some work. We have to apply in order to be accepted into a specific school within FSU sometimes and it can be competitive.

Diversity: There are many people from all over that have specific beliefs and that are from new places. There are groups for every gender or sexual orientation.

Drug Safety: I think there are more people using drugs than some suspect. It seems to be more address and marijuana based though. Some still do participate in heavier drug use though.

Health & Safety: I think that the school provides good safety when it comes to blue lights around campus. The police is typically always around sometimes and I've never been out walking late and had an issue with safety.

Overall Experience: Some of the professors actually care while some others don't put much into their lessons.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The career center provides great help with an online search engine for jobs and internships. They have a network where you can see alumni and ask about past job prospects.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: For the price of housing they could offer more. My dorm was brand new yet barely has any room to socialize with other people and doesn't have a game room. People try to become involved in dorm events but no one really ends up going. I never see my RA and think that might make a different.

Greek Life: The process in general for a sorority is not really fair. There are too many girls for the amount of spots they have available. People are too focused on greek life, even though there are people that are not in it it does take up a big part of campus life here.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: People really have school spirit here, especially when it comes to the football games.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I feel like there's not enough opportunity to do certain things that I want. It's been super competitive and there hasn't been enough spots in organizations for the amount of people that attend the school, so it limits opportunity for other people that want to become involved.

Athletics: Athletics are huge at FSU, especially football. During fall semester, all the students look forward to the football game every Saturday. FSU has a top notch recreation facility that is available for all students to use. It is very easy to get involved in intramural and club sports at FSU with sports ranging from quidditch to ultimate frisbee to battleship (basically dodgeball in canoes), to bowling, fishing, racquetball, water polo, to all the basics including basketball, baseball/softball, football, soccer, volleyball, etc. Go Seminoles!

Overall Experience: Choosing Florida State University has been the best decision I have ever made. There are so many ways to get involved and it is incredibly easy to do so and find your niche. There is such a wide range of clubs and organizations to become a part of. Florida State University allows students to pursue their passions or find their 'calling'. Nightlife, partying, and greek life are huge at FSU. FSU is the best university to attend for anyone who wants to have fun and get the most out of their college years. FSU students know how to have fun, but they are also very dedicated to their academics. FSU is a top research university and gives students the best opportunities to succeed during their years at FSU and the rest of their lives.

Overall Experience: My only negative review would be biased and geared towards a particular professor whom I felt was there only because he had to teach as part of his job contract. At least that's what it seemed like.

You would be hard-pressed to find a graduate of Florida State University who doesn’t have fond memories of the years they spent on campus. Current students will also agree that they are happy with their decision to attend school here. There is something for everyone, from athletics to academia, and you would have a hard time finding a more comfortable setting than Tallahassee. It has so much to offer, from exciting nightlife to beautiful weather.

Although it bears the reputation of a party school, FSU also has a growing reputation for turning out some of the best and brightest graduates in the entire nation. The school is now turning its focus on research, which should appeal to those interested in science and mathematics. But never fear, FSU also emphasizes the arts through their award-winning film and theater departments. From math and science, to the arts, FSU offers a vast array of eclectic degrees, which will be nothing but helpful later in your life. Choosing which college to attend is not an easy decision, but if you’re looking for the perfect combination of a good education and a good time, you can’t do much better than Florida State University.
