3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: As long as you stay on campus you'll be fine. There are bad areas as with any place. DO NOT LIVE IN DEGRAFF the area around that dorm is sketchy and you shouldn't walk there alone during the night.

Off-Campus Dining: I don't eat off campus often. But there are great local options and the typical food chains if you like that.

Greek Life: When you are a member of Greek life it is probably to get into the better parties. The houses seem pretty nice. Most people don't bother with Greek life though.

Majors: the program teachers and program's administrator can improve by listening to the student circustances instead of painting everyone with the same brush , I feel that they care more about keeping their job than addressing the student needs.

Scholarships: Going into the finacial aid office was pleasant as isues were addressed once you spoke with a representative. Improvement can be made with services over the phone. It takes too long to talk to someone and once the phone is answered, the hold time exceeds 30 minutes, not acceptable.

Campus Housing: I have never lived on campus or used campus housing so I don't know.

Administration: It varies based on the issues, and I can't speak for dorm life since I've never lived on campus.

Off-Campus Housing: There are plenty of places to meet various price ranges, just be careful about staying in South Side or French Town (very close to campus). The renting market isn't great across the nation, so it's a bit harder now than it used to be. Find a couple of people to be roommates and you'll be fine.

Scholarships: It's my first semester at FSU, so I can say too much about the subject.

Off-Campus Dining: Tallahassee has a lot of great local places - if you take the effort to find and try them. There are also a million of Mexican restaurants, especially along Monroe street, but they have some great drink specials. Sweat Pea is a great local place for healthy vegetarian options. Chubby's is a must for late night snacks.

Greek Life: I'm not into Greek life, so I can't give a review. I think Greeks tend to be annoying, shallow, and egotistical.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: People, especially women, should walk in groups at night. I wouldn't say that FSU is particularly more dangerous than other colleges, since sexual assault is a major issue across America. FSU is not alone in lacking proper support, raising more awareness, or doing more to support victims.

Local Area: Tallahassee is a quaint town. The weather is miserable, hot muggy and rains almost every day in summer. The city has two major universities, FSU and FAMU, as well as a vibrant community college - TCC. There are plenty of bars and clubs you can go to, not to mention the amount of house parties. During football season there are downtown get downs every home game in Kleman Plaza. There are also a variety of yearly festivals - the Greek Food Festival, the North Florida Hispanic Festival, Tallyfiesta and more.

Greek Life: Greek life is huge at FSU. Huge selection, variation, frat guys tend to be douchey by nature but it's a lot of guys not just them, but there's a lot of sorority girls that are totally sweet. I'm not a Greek so I can't say much.

Party Scene: I'm not a huge party person, but they're not lacking at FSU. Friendly people, crazy stuff, variety depending on what you're into.
