Campus Quality: Always Something Happening – The FSU Student Union is always bubbling with cool events and things to do. We have a bowling alley, a live music venue (Club Downunder) where hip new bands come every week, a Paint-a-Pot art center, open spaces where student organizations can meet, and of course restaurants - fast-food and sit-down. The Union also puts on various events such as an annual carnival, Winter Wonderland festival before Christmas break, and other monthly, themed events. There's always free food and plenty of entertainment.

Campus Quality: Unique New York – I love my major. It is extrememly exclusive, only 36 people got in last year. It makes my classes smaller and I like being able to receive more attention. I never did as well in my 250 person classes. The social scene is very spread out. However, each night of the week there's only one good place to be so there's no need to bar hop. Facilities are constantly being renovated, so sooner rather than later nothing will be dated. The clubs offer amazing opportunities like internships in England and crazy places, and the study-abroad program I hear is a MUST. I love FSU.

Off-Campus Housing: Off campus housing is a must. The safety is poor because once you get off campus, FSU isn't the richest place in the world. There's a lot of poverty which leads to crime. The pro is that you're not in a dorm. The con is that if you're walking distance to class, you are probably paying a ridiculous amount of rent. Leaving for class 30min-45min early is a must if you want to find parking. Landlords are somewhat reasonable, but they're obviously in it for the money. I love my townhouse it is reasonably priced but of course if I could afford it I would live in the big ones right next to campus.

Technology: I would say the computers have excellent software programs and that the labs in the stadium are certainly the best. I don't venture to the library much, but when I do the computers are always taken. I have access to the stadium computers and they are much better. However, they're always out of paper. So when you put some in, it's so backed up you will never get your stuff printed on your own paper.

Greek Life: There is a Greek life on campus, it is not extremely prominent but it is a good system.

3 College Freshman

Diversity: There is some diversity, as much as you would expect from a college and a college town.

Local Area: F-L-O-R-I-D-A S-T-A-T-E – The area is very much a college town. There is always something to do and places to see.

Weather: I'm not a fan of Florida weather, hence the bad grade, but it's just normal Florida weather. Really hot. It will also change unexpectedly.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: If You Get the Right Place – Depending on your dorm, it's awesome. For other dorms, not so much. Probably if I didn't have the experience of the better housing, I would not think so highly of it. But the better dorms, I've always had a great experience with them.

Campus Food: Dining Hall – For one, it's food, and you don't have to make it. But, I know for vegetarian options, they do have a specific place you can eat, whether or not the food is edible is a different thing entirely. I know that they will occasionally take a slab of tofu and put BBQ sauce on it. And that would be the meal. Their food is repetitive and you pay an arm and a leg for it.

4 College Junior

Administration: When it comes to underage drinking and drugs the campus police are pretty strict when it happen in the dorms. The outcome really depends on the situation. Normally warnings are given out. They are not too strict here

Party Scene: Tallahasse has bee know for it's party life, and that is for good reason. We have a pretty good selection of places to go and most are located close to camp and next to each other. There is a deal going somewhere every night and ALWAYS fun!

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: Health and Safety – As in every college town there are safety issues and instances. The on campus and local police do a good job of watching out for student's well-being. Although it is advised to use common sense and be aware of your surroundings.

2 College Senior

Greek Life: I can't really comment on much except that to non-Greeks, the Greek life seems very snobby. Also, they tend to be spoiled and kind of unintelligent, but there's always the exception to the rule.

Campus Housing: I Think It's Great! Living on campus can be great, especially if you don't have a car. There's a movie theater, a bowling alley, plenty of places to eat, and almost everything you need is within walking distance. The campus bus system is shoddy, at best. They are almost never on time. Don't rely on the buses to get you anywhere! Or if you do, make sure you understand the bus routes first. Same with the city buses. They are a lot more reliable, though.

Campus Quality: What set Florida State University apart from other neighboring and competing schools is the affordability, community, and campus diversity. One unique thing I can say about Florida State is the affordability compared to other state of Florida schools. A student can afford both in-state and out-of-state tuition and fees. Likewise, with the support of state funding it really make it affordable for any student trying to pay for a quality education. Also unlike other schools which are mainly located in major metropolitan cities, but Florida State is located centralized in a small-nix town of Tallahassee. The location of Florida State University makes it safe for students to live, study, and have fun without worrying about outside distractions major city tend to have. I notice when it comes to students deciding what school to attend one factor always stands out is campus diversity. A lot of schools claims their campus diversity has a good ratio but I come to realize Florida State has one of the best campus diversity no other school could offer. Altogether, I give Florida state inside scoop an A+.

Off-Campus Housing: Cheap Compared to Other Cities! Cheap, cheap, cheap will be the words chatting when it comes to apartment rent in Tallahassee, FL. The prices for a vacancy in Tallahassee is pretty cheap and reasonable compared to other major cities like Jacksonville and Miami. I personally found a one bedroom apartment for under $500.00. In a major city like Miami or New York you are expecting to pay roughly $750 - $1000.00 for the same square footage. A lot of the apartments are convenient, in close proximity around the three universities of Florida A&M, Florida State, and Tallahassee Community college. I prefer apartments close to universities because they tend to have the safest atmosphere due to universities police officers as well as city police paroling the area. I generally believe all student apartments tend to have the best landlords one can appreciate since students are their main priority. Likewise, regular apartments tend to have landlords with carefree attitudes. I would say overall I give off-campus housing a B+.

Off-Campus Dining: A Lot of Fast Food and Chain Restaurants! On Tennessee Street in Tallahassee, FL you will find some of the best upbeat chain and fast-food restaurants Tallahassee has to offer. The main street compose of array of restaurants that is convenient, affordable, and accessible to all students living in dorms and locals. The Panda Express restaurant just recently opened and it offers the best in authentic traditional Chinese meals and fast-food style service. Overall I rate the fast-food and chain restaurants a A-.

Campus Quality: Pride of a Seminole – The athletic fields and centers are state-of-the-art, especially the football stadium, which is all brick and also includes classrooms and ballrooms. It brings about a great school spirit among the students as well to have such great athletic fields and athletics. The campus and classrooms are great, some are older as well as the dorms but it brings a sense of history of Florida State to this new generation of students! Our campus blends both the new and the old and makes each student feel proud to be a Seminole!

Campus Food: The food at the FSU dining halls is ok, but not great. It's definitely hit or miss. There's a lot of basic meals to be had, and that's usually the best things to stick to. Occasionally they have "fancier" meals, but from my experience, they haven't been good. Stick with the simple-that's what they do best. If you can wake up for it, breakfast is very good. If you live on the east side of campus, you'll be eating mainly at Suwannee, the older (but newly renovated!) dining hall that looks like it popped right out of Hogwarts or Harvard. The food is pretty good there. If you live on the west side, you'll be eating at Fresh Foods. Its in a more contemporary style. For some reason, the pizza is better at FF, even though they use they same ingredients. Other dining options include the brand new 24 hour Denny's and the ever-popular Quizznos at the union for lunch. If you get tired of the dining hall food but don't want to wander off campus, you can always go to the Chili's at the union. The wait times can be annoying at times, but the food is good and you can use your flex bucks.

Transportation: Always Around – Although I don't use the buses myself, I know people who do and haven't heard anything really negative from them. The buses are generally on time, although they can get packed at times.

Drug Safety: Only If You Want to – Yes, there is a drug scene on campus, as with every college. But it's really not that bad. It's the kind of thing where if you want to get involved, you can, but people aren't coming up to you offering you drugs. Drinking is much, much more prevalent and popular.

Academics: Helpful for Freshmen – I'm a freshman with an intended major of criminology. The Criminology department has advised me on what to take to help achieve my goals, and they have been very helpful and welcoming in general.

Technology: i really do like the computers at FSU. The are quick and reliable. I have been known to take advantage of the computers to do homework and catch up on some readying. The best thing is that there are so many of them that you can always find a spare computer if you need one.

Overall Experience: aside from the parking and long walks, i love my university. Classes, sports, greek life, everything.
