Overall Experience: I wanted to go to UF but I did not get in. If I could do it again, I would not even waste my time applying to UF. I love the campus here, the people...the everything. It is a real college experience and I am proud to be a Seminole!

Technology: I only use my laptop when I want to do stuff I really do not want FSU knowing about! There are a bajillion computers located all around campus and printing is not really that ridiculous. I think its cheaper to pay to print, rather than paying for your own printer. Some residence halls do have Wi-Fi, but it is really not that reliable. If not, there are ethernet ports to get pretty fast web connection.

Scholarships: FSU gives us our refund checks right when they say they are going to give them to us. We got ours a week into school, while FAMU still has not given their students theirs. Last year, a friend of mine that goes to FAMU did not get her money until November! How do they expect students to live that way? FSU cares about us and has various additional scholarships for people that need financial help. The FinAid office is wonderful too! Everyone there is so nice!

Transportation: I Love the Buses – The buses take you pretty much anywhere, and the city bus stops in numerous places on and around the campus. The bus system is pretty reliable and very convenient. With my FSU card I can ride the city bus for free. I think this is because I paid an arm and a leg for it included in my tuition.

Diversity: Not Diverse at All – At FSU there is pretty much all white people. The few black people that I have met do not even attend Florida State, but actually go to FAMU, which is right down the road. We have a Caribbean Student Association and a Black Student Union but you have to know where to look to find more black people! As for the other aspects, such as religion and sexual orientation, FSU is extremely diverse, but I can count the number of black organizations on probably one hand.

3 College Sophomore

Administration: Strict About Everything – Florida State is strict about almost everything. About homework and cheating, about drinking on campus, about going to class, and about our health.

1 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Drugs Are a Major Issue – Drugs are almost everywhere, if one is looking for it. Weed is the most popular around the student.

5 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Safety Plus – Safety at Florida State is great. There are emergency call towers wherever you go, and the fsu police is constantly patrolling the campus. The dorms are always safe to live in, because one needs a card to get in, and usually the RA's are pretty knowledgeable when it comes to who actually live in the dorm or not.

5 College Junior

Campus Quality: Variety of Religious Opportunites, Great School Spirit – FSU has the best school, great community and team spirit and a variety of opportunities for people from all walks of life

4 College Junior

Party Scene: Ajs, the Strip – Nightlife is for all college students but there are a variety of places farther from campus that are 21+ scene

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: Good but Gets Old Quickly – The on campus venues and dining halls are good overall and serve their purpose, but it gets old and hard to deal with after living on for more than one year.

4 College Senior

Greek Life: They are a wide variety of Greek societies, but it is not an absolute must for a student at FSU.

Off-Campus Housing: Timing Is Everything – Finding off-campus housing in Tallahassee that is affordable and safe can be challenging, but it is possible if done early in the year. Most places are reasonable close to campus and it is fairly easy to find a price that is right. Safety depends on the area and the type of housing a student choses.

4 College Senior

Academics: A Challenging, Vibrant School – Florida State University has marvelous academic programs that challenge students to strive for excellence. The professors definitely know what they are talking about and the courses offered cover a vast range of interesting subjects. The student body is also quite active in the school and various clubs.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Where to Live – Living on campus is a very appealing thing to do. It makes life a lot easier when you are trying to get to class on time. Also, by living on campus you have all of FSU at your fingertips. A student is able to walk anywhere they want, and they do now have to worry about parking really ever. By living on campus, you also meet a lot of people, people that live in your hall and other people that may live in your friends halls as well.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Quality: Work, Play, and Study – As a student at Florida State University, regardless of what you are looking to do at that moment in time, you will always find yourself in the nicest of facilites. The gym at FSU is a three story facility with every type of machine imagineable. The building itself is relatively new, and is still in very good condition. Strozier library is also another place that many students may find themselves. The library offers many amenities and 5 floors of study areas. the first floor of the library was recently refurbished, and now has a 24 hour starbucks, tons a of smart rooms, a vast amount of computers and personal help desks all only on the first floor. The general appeal of FSU is topped of with the way that the campus looks. There are benches, over hanging trees, brickwork, garnet and gold flowers and many more that adds to the pleasing aesthetics offered at Florida State University.

Local Area: What Tallahassee Has to Offer – Tallahassee has a variety of different things that it offers to the students that decide to attend Florida State University. Besides being a college town, it is also the capitol, and there are many opputunities for students to learn more about politics. Also, there are so many parts of Tallahassee that the naked eye may not see. From Thomasville, to Lake Ella, and even including the Florida State University's own reservation, nature is just on the outskirts of campus. With all that Tallahassee has to offer, I wouldnt have picked anywhere else to attend college.

4 College Sophomore

Transportation: Walking in Best on-Campus Option – Even though FSU is a large school, the campus is very compact. There are buses lines, but classes are very easy to walk to and the campus is beautiful so walking is enjoyable. Parking is the most difficult aspect of transportation on campus.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: There is a huge amount of students involved in Greek Life but also a lot of non-Greeks. Non-greeks may not be going to frat-parties on a regular basis but there is still a very prominent non-Greek social scene.

4 College Sophomore

Diversity: Very Diverse Campus – There is a lot of diversity at FSU, which is a great advantage of the school. You see people from all over on a daily basis, and students and professors are very accepting and embrace the diversity!

3 College Sophomore

Weather: Spring semester brings the most beautiful weather-warm sunshine with a cool breeze! It does get very hot leading into summer but it's not unbearable, especially if you're used to Florida summers. Winter gets pretty cold but doesn't snow usually or go into the negative degrees.

5 College Sophomore

Athletics: Go Noles! FSU sports are a huge deal! The games are such a fun way to feel like you're really a part of the school and show your team spirit!

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Lots of Scholarship Opportunity – I received a good amount of financial aid with little work being put in.

5 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: Great Options – There are tons of apartment complexes right on the border of campus. Very reasonable rent prices for surprisingly nice apartments.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: More Healthy Options Please! There aren't a ton of healthy options in the student union, but there are a few Starbucks on campus which is great.
