Like any other university, what you put into your experience is what you'll get out of it. This is especially true at a large institution like FSU. There's an enless amount of opportunities for everyone, both academic, social, and cultural. It's easy to feel "lost in the crowd" if you don't take the inititative to "put yourself out there." No one is going to hand you life experiences on a silver platter; you have to make the effort. You want to succeed academically and socially? Get involved in undergraduate research. Seek advice from faculty and peers. Join clubs and sports teams. Study abroad. Do an internship. These opportunities and more are available to those that want them. Your experience will be what you make of it, so put forth your best effort! I promise you can and will succeed at FSU

Florida State University has provided me with the best first year of my college experience. The resources for academics and social activities that my university has to offer are endless and top notch. For example, when I couldn't find peer-reviewed sources for my research paper, I met with a librarian. She had already done research prior to meeting with me and together we were able to figure it out. Football games are also one of my favorite experiences. The energy Doak Campbell stadium has on game days is unbelievable and indescribable. Go Noles!

This school is the kind of college you would see in films. There is undeniably just an out right feeling of school spirit, from the students on campus wearing their school's logo somewhere on their outfit to the students screaming out the Seminole chant at well known bars, clubs, and houses. Rent is on the cheaper side and most places are walk-able. Ubers and Lyfts are widely available on top of the available free buses. We boost a great social life and as well as even greater academics. The only major downside is that after graduation its best to find work outside of Tallahassee due to it being primarily a college town. Its a school that you will never forget if you decide to attend here. You will memories that will last a lifetime. GO NOLES!
