5 College Freshman

Administration: It's Basically Your Call – Although there are campus cops, you can pretty much get away with anything. You just have to know where to draw the line. If it involves parking, however, good luck getting away with anything at all.

5 College Freshman

Greek Life: Greeks Are Loved or Hated – Generally speaking, you know a Greek when you see one. They have a lot of fun, but they can be extremely stereotypical.

5 College Freshman

Technology: All of the internet access is great. I have had no problems connecting my computer or any others. The computers in the classrooms and library are all up to date and work just fine. The network is totally adequate.

4 College Junior

Athletics: Great Team Spirit – Everywhere on campus you will see Garnet and Gold! I playes intermurals soccer and it was so much fun. I made new friends and got to stay in shape for that semester!

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Hole in the Places – There are a lot of food chain, ( Chipotle, Jimmy Jons, Panera) and then there are great food places like Monks, Mellow Mushroom, and Cafe's that are super chill and really make the best hangouts!

4 College Junior

Campus Quality: The most frequent facilities I use on campus are the Leach Center ( gym) both Strozier and Dirac Libray and the student Union. The gym is three stories and has better than a membership to the YMCA!

5 College Sophomore

Athletics: GO FOOTBALL – Atheletics at FSU = FOOTBALLFOOTBALLFOOTBALL. Our Seminoles' are climbing the ACC ranks and school spirit has never been higher. We also have a great basketball team, women's soccer, and baseball/softball. FSU also takes their Intramural Teams pretty seriously, and anyone can join and have fun. There is also a HUGEE gym called the Leach Center that is three stories tall and free to FSU students. They have classes and personal trainers to help get in shape.

Off-Campus Housing: Tons of Student Housing, Not the Best Neighborhood. I'm giving it a B- because there are TONS of off-campus living options (such as scholarship housing or apartment complexes) and they're almost all within the campus or the campus bus route, but the neighborhoods tend to not be super safe at night time. Tallahassee is a big city, so the crime rate is a little higher here. You definitely shouldn't walk anywhere by yourself at night, and remember to lock your doors. Other than that, the actually complexes are usually pretty nice. There's alot of student housing and alot of regular lease type places, so it gives you different living options.

Off-Campus Dining: Great Food, Close to Campus – Not only is there food ON campus (such as a Chili's, Papa Johns, and Denny's) but there are good, fairly cheap options off campus. You have the ever popular Moe's for the best nachos/fajitas/burritos you could ask for, at a Subway set-up. You have Taco Bell, Burger King, MoMo's pizza, and Fire House Subs. Mr. Roboto Hibachi is really popular and of course Jimmy Johns subs delivers! There is an infinite amount of dining options near Florida State.

5 College Junior

Majors: The School of Hospitality here at FSU is among the best in the nation. With its experienced instructors and the program's heavy involvement in student life, the DSH makes sure its students are taken care of.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: So Many Applications – Bright Futures is great, don't get me wrong. Unfortunately it is covering less and less of tuition meaning students will have to find more ways to help supplement their college education.

4 College Junior

Drug Safety: Drinking Is Always Popular at College – Florida State is KNOWN for being a big time party school. It's not difficult to find a party or people to drink with. It's just one of the many party aspects of FSU.

College Freshman

Academics: I am a graphic design student. At fsu the first 6 required courses don't really have that much to do with graphic design except for one class, but if you can suck it up for a year you can basically take any class you want. That means every computer class you can think of is available to you, which to me is pretty amazing considering my high school had like 1 class you could take each year. The workload for me was pretty stressful since I don't believe I have any sort of traditional art talent which is needed since you have to take a drawing class.

4 College Junior

Party Scene: Hit the Strip! The clubs may not be the prettiest out there, but they are always exciting! The strip has multiple clubs lined up, a set up guaranteed to optimize anyone's party life!

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: Don't Travel Far – Way too many scummy businesses try to pry college students of their livelihood.. and money. If it wasn't for all of the students banding together to rid the communities of the terrible tow trucks and money-grubbing landlords, Tallahassee would be in trouble

4 College Junior

Local Area: Don't Go Far – Tallahassee provides an excellent student-rich atmosphere surrounding the Florida State University campus. Clubs, shopping centers, and restaurants are all close by so you never really have to travel far to get to where you need to go. Plus, it creates more of an old-fashioned community feel to the town... everything is run by the students. There is even a complex called Indian Village where half the school congregates during football game days!

2 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Very, Very Incessant and Overrated! All the non-Greek students for the most part share in a communal dislike of the organization. Only the wealthier students are able to join the fraternities/sororities because of the extensive dues that have to be paid. Most students don't have that kind of extra money. Another thing which is annoying on a day to day basis is amount of advertisement that the Greek organizations propagate. Members wearing shirts daily, large billboards, and free sunglasses with Greek-association information.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Food: Paying My Own Meals Gets Expensive – There is of course, the campus dining hall, which has the most fabulous array of food. If I were to eat on campus, I would most likely eat at the dining hall most days. They have coffee as well! There are a few franchise restaurants such as Chilis, Salad Creations and Papa Johns that serve faithfully. My favorite dining location is the 24/7 Denny's because it's convenient and cheap.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There are quite a few restaurants at the Union square on campus that make dinner easily accessible. It's a good way to get to know people in between classes, the only downside is that the average price for a meal is about 10$. Mr. Robotos, my favorite restaurant is about a mile from campus. It's quick asian food of remarkable quality and quick preparation. The few times I eat out, I prefer off campus locations because of their variety and oftentimes, cheaper meals.

3 College Senior

Campus Quality: Inside Scoop – There are a lot of ways to get involved. Whether you want to start a new organization, go greek, or just run around landis green. you can always find a good way to get involved and keep busy!

3 College Senior

Campus Food: Swanee dining isn't that bad, but I think they should make healthier options on campus. Chili's is okay...not very healthy. Flex bucks is convenient.

3 College Junior

Guys & Girls: Something for Everyone – The girls in Tallahassee come in all backgrounds. With Florida being the cultural melting pot that it is and the international programs that Florida State offers there is much beauty to find.

5 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: Plentiful and Affordable – Finding apartments in Tallahassee is like shooting fish in a barrel. Walking a block in any direction from campus and you're bound to run into at least three or more and each containing signs offering students various bedroom options that are available for leasing. But because there are so much a good renter must be able to spend some time, about a day or two...or three, and sitting down with the leasing managers in each apartment they are interested in because not all apartments are made equal. Prices, room build, roommate compositions, and the general location can all vary. But overall if you take the time renters will find their dream apartment somewhere in Tallahassee for around $340-$600 and for a college student living off part time work and loans how can you beat those prices.

College Freshman

Campus Quality: FSU students are very active and always participating in social and academic things. The academic programs are ranked high in the nation, for example psychology. The facilities have historical values and are easy to find once you have your bearings. A unique opportunity is the easiness of being able to study abroad.

College Freshman

Diversity: There are people of all different kinds and personalities at FSU. The majority of the students are middle-class white. There are other races present on campus though, and everyone is accepting..not ignorant. There are several churches on/near-by the campus.
