4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: FSU has so many different types of courses that are offered to students. Class size can range from a more intimate setting to a huge lecture hall with over 1000 people.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I lived in a suite style dorm my freshman year and i enjoyed living on campus, but the quality could be way better.

Greek Life: The greek life on campus is very big. Greek life does a lot of campus involvement and community service.

5 College Sophomore

Athletics: Tallahassee durring football season, especially, is a sea of garnet and gold, students, alumni, and children young and old fill the campus to support the seminoles.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Being at FSU has allowed me to grow in so many ways. I could not imagine being at any other school because this school has taught me so many things outside of the classroom. I have learned how to be a leader, an honorable person, and most importantly one who will persevere through great obstacles to achieve a goal.

5 College Freshman

Athletics: We were national champions in football last year and girls soccer were national champs too! Plus we have a variety of other sports that many participate in.

Athletics: Athletics are important at FSU

Health & Safety: FSU PD was really helpful when someone hit and run my car in a parking garage. They're presents almost everywhere. I feel very safe on campus, even at night.

Overall Experience: I've had some very good teachers and some very bad teachers. I wish the classes were smaller so it would be more involved. I dont like big lecture classes. There are lots of interesting courses to take even outside my major. I think there should be a higher standard for professors. I don't like when lectures are boring because it makes it harder to stay focused and awake.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: I haven't started looking for a real job yet, but they were really helpful when I was looking for a part-time job so I plan on going back to look for an internship with the career center. A lot of my friends have found internships or jobs after they graduated.

2 College Senior

Campus Housing: I lived in a very old dorm so it was dirty and smelly. It was the cheapest one but still very expensive and you basically had to buy a meal plan too because the kitchens were small and gross too. I miss living so close to my classes and my job. The atmosphere was really friendly and it was easy to make new friends.

3 College Senior

Greek Life: Greek life is a huge part of the campus. It seems like it would be a great way to meet people, however I don't like how some of my friends have been treated by their sororities. Since it's so expensive, basically only rich people can join and it doesn't seem worth it.

5 College Senior

Athletics: Athletics are a huge focus of FSU. We have huge facilities and its very famous. A lot of money goes to our athletic programs. Its easy to join an IM team and get involved.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: I came to FSU to get an education and broaden my mind. Most of the professors I have had are uninspiring and dull. I love my field but I think there is room to improve within academics. On the other hand, there are a million ways to get involved on campus with clubs, research, internships, jobs, etc. There are events on campus that are always a lot of fun. My advisors are not very helpful and do not treat you like an individual. It's very expensive and I do not think I'm getting my money's worth.

4 College Junior

Academics: Registration can get a bit confusing at first, but you become a wiz after. Some professors are tough, but that should be expected. And some professors are great and just expect you to study, which you should. The topics geared towards the courses make sense and are great.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: During events or at night, police is all around the campus to keep students safe. There's an hotline for them and they're always around to help. For those who fear for their lives and have a problem dealing with things, FSU offers free counseling and also works with students who are failing classes as a result to that.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Class sizes make sense when it comes to what course you're taking. Although, classes fill up quickly, and for my major that seems to not have a lot of people, but actually do, it gets annoying. Professors are nice, always looking for ways to make sure students pass. Always approachable and know their subject.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: FSU is one of the top schools in Florida. Many floridians, especially in Tallahassee, are always looking for a student from here. There's always some form of internship in the school and out of schoo for all majors.

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: I do not live on campus and know no one that does, but students seem to like it from what I've seen.

4 College Junior

Greek Life: Not part of a Greek life but my friends who are love it.

You would be hard-pressed to find a graduate of Florida State University who doesn’t have fond memories of the years they spent on campus. Current students will also agree that they are happy with their decision to attend school here. There is something for everyone, from athletics to academia, and you would have a hard time finding a more comfortable setting than Tallahassee. It has so much to offer, from exciting nightlife to beautiful weather.

Although it bears the reputation of a party school, FSU also has a growing reputation for turning out some of the best and brightest graduates in the entire nation. The school is now turning its focus on research, which should appeal to those interested in science and mathematics. But never fear, FSU also emphasizes the arts through their award-winning film and theater departments. From math and science, to the arts, FSU offers a vast array of eclectic degrees, which will be nothing but helpful later in your life. Choosing which college to attend is not an easy decision, but if you’re looking for the perfect combination of a good education and a good time, you can’t do much better than Florida State University.
