Drug Safety: Alcohol and Pot – For the most part, "hard" drugs aren't extremely popular on campus, minus a few specific organizations that are known for their coke use. Most students drink, which is expected, and a lot smoke pot, but aren't "constant users."

Weather: Overall, the weather is very nice here. Some days there will be a cold front, but then the warm weather is back. It's still in the 70's during November. Plus, it is nice to see the leaves still change colors here.

3 College Freshman

Administration: When living on campus you are not suppose to drink or do drugs, obviously. Some buildings are stricter than others. Most buildings will have many entrance options to get into the building without running into the R.As on round. The campus has its own police force and they are easy to reach.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Off-Campu Dining – There are a ton of dining options near campus. Depending where you live those options could be right across the street. There are a ton of fast food chains, sports bars, restaurants and ethnic food options. All meals range from around $5-$20.

Campus Quality: Personally, my favorite experience at FSU has been my Directed Individual Study Program at FSU. I have been working in the Psychology lab conducting experiments and coding data under the supervision of one of the professors here. This experience will get me a letter of recommendation for grad school. Also, Tallahassee is a great place to be if you are in any type of law program since it is Florida's state capital.

4 College Junior

Diversity: Very Diverse – Florida State University has a very diverse student body composed of people of different races, economic backgrounds, political beliefs, religions, and sexual orientation. People at Florida State University tend to be very accepting.

3 College Junior

Local Area: Tallahassee is a very congested town. Tallahassee is home to the Florida State Capital and many other landmarks. I wouldn't consider Tallahassee a very safe town. There are many places to shop in Tallahassee. Sports are a very big deal at Florida State University. I would definitely consider Florida State University a party school, although it does take quite a bit of studying and concentration to keep your grades up.

1 College Junior

Parking: Prepare to Miss Some Classes – Florida State University needs to build more parking structures, because missing class from driving around for an hour should not be the reason students miss out on their education. The garages are full all day, it is very annoying. They should admit less people, or just make more room for parking. End of story.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: The cost of living at FSU is high, but it has many upsides. All housing is in the middle of campus. The social atmosphere is very conducive to making friends. The dorms are average size. I imagine the dorms at FSU are very normal.

3 College Junior

Local Area: College, Capital, or Bust. Tallahassee is the capital of Florida and it is also a college town. It has three major schools that range from seven thousand to 38 thousand students. However, if you are not involved in either politics or education, there is not much to do. Tallahassee has no professional sports team, no amusement parks, and no decent beach within a half hour of the city limits. Everybody seems to be doing their own thing. In Tallahassee, if you've gotten your work done for the day, all there is to do is go out and drink or stay in and watch tv.

3 College Junior

Campus Food: Some Good Places, but Pretty Mediocre – There are some good places, like Denny's, but most of the places are overpriced and the meal plans are really expensive. I had one my freshmen year, and my friend at another college had an all you can eat one from her school for almost half the price of mine.

3 College Junior

Local Area: Good Nightlife, but Lacking in Variety – There are a lot of clubs, and bars, but for someone who is not into that stuff there is not very much to do.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: As an out of state student once I got accepted I submitted my deposit to hold my spot knowing I could lose some money if I chose another school. Housing is tight for new students but after the freshmen year most students choose to live off-campus of which there are many choices. Dorms are great for freshman though.

Off-Campus Housing: College Town – Tallahassee is such a college town and it is well built for us! There are options for living starting on campus and moving out further. I personally feel lucky to remain on campus for a low budget. We also have a pretty high quality of apartments.

5 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: We have a large selection of restaurants located within a close distance of our campus. There is a range of prices and tastes. Some of our favorites area quick hibachi restaurant, an authentic cuban place, and great sushi all that are within walking distance.

4 College Sophomore

Technology: Avialable Technology – FSU makes technology avialable to its students in everyway possible. We have accessable coputers labs all over campus. Our libraries provides computers and printers as well. I have also been a customer of our geek squad that helps our students when needed.

5 College Senior

Transportation: Night Nole! FSU is really good about providing transportation during school hours, but they also have the night nole that stops buy the strip of clubs and most apartment complexes. Nole cab also offers low rates to students

Campus Food: swannee is terrible. they use very low grade meats and overall food in general. Fresh food is better, but still not good. If you can get to the Figg dining hall, you should. It is for the athletes and only open to students for lunch, but it is amazing.

4 College Senior

Academics: The psychology undergraduate program is really big and classes tend to be large. With effort, however, connections can be made with some of the top psychology researchers.

4 College Junior

Campus Quality: Fun Activities and Library Availability – FSU has plenty of activities on campus almost every week that are fun and sometimes entail free food. During Homecoming Week, there was a tilt-a-whirl, other games and free pizza, chicken wings, and cotton candy. There's even a place where students can watch movies in an actual movie theater and play video games. Also, the library is open 24 hours a day/5 days a week, so it's always available during the school week even at late hours.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: It's Safe to Me – I haven't encountered a problem personally at FSU. When there is a crime that has been committed, the FSU on-campus security makes sure to have e-mails sent out to students about what happened and tips on how to keep ourselves safe from harm. I feel that's smart of them to do and I'm glad they're looking out for us.

2 College Freshman

Diversity: Not Very Diverse – TO be honest, at Florida State, you don't see many non-white students. Often, there are many Florida A&M students on campus so there will be some black students. There is some diversity, and the school doesn't seem to suffer from the mainly white student body

3 College Junior

Majors: No Experience With It – I have no experience with it. However, I have many business major friends who are very happy with the opportunities FSU gives them for internships. You can frequently find school sponsored Internship Fairs.

4 College Junior

Party Scene: Good Amount of Everything – Plenty of clubs are available for students of all ages. There are a few very nice 21+ clubs, as well as 18+ clubs. Many clubs and bars are known for their daily specials. The campus provides a late night bus transportation, however it stops at 2 am. A longer bus system would be much better.

3 College Junior

Technology: Is Decent – Wireless is available all over campus, however many building still don't have the wifi, mostly the older buildings. Computer labs are generally opening, and if you live on campus, you do have free printing available.
