Campus Food: It's good food but not awesome. Fresh Foods is a lot better than Suwanee for dining halls, and then the places in the union are better.

Majors: Internships are great opportunities to gain experience in your major. For physics, they are in the summer and are all expenses paid, with an additional stipend.

5 College Freshman

Majors: The program for my major is difficult, but I know I'm getting some of the best eduction for my major in the country.

5 College Freshman

Majors: I have loved Florida State since I have arrived, the people are all nice and the professors are all knowledgeable and inviting.

5 College Junior

Majors: My major can be entered by anyone wishing to enter. It is highly suggested that you are a fun science loving individual however.

5 College Junior

Guys & Girls: The people at FSU can't be described in a few words. The variety of people at FSU is endless. Many of the attractive in both looks an personality. They dress in every fashion think able.

5 College Junior

Majors: My major Environmental science is excellent It is however relatively new. The courses are all both very interesting, and incredibly relevant. Most of the courses specific to my major are in the meteorology building.

3 College Junior

Majors: I haven't had an internship yet, but I know there are plenty of opportunities for them. I plan to find one. Most of them from what i see are unpaid (at least in my field of study); however, they can often be worth from 3-6 credit hours, and will be excellent opportunities for experience in your field.

Majors: I am happy with the environmental science program at Florida State University. There are some very goo advisors and the course curriculum is excellent. The professors in my field have provided me with lots of opportunities to get some experience in my field of study.

Party Scene: There are always parties, and everyone is usually invited to everything. There are plenty of clubs, with drink specials every night. Occasional people will be buyer for fake-IDs and underage drinking at clubs, but for the most part, this goes unnoticed. There are also measures in place - such as the Night Nole or the Nole Cab to make sure students don't drink and drive, and arrive home safely.

Off-Campus Housing: I am currently a junior and have never lived on campus, instead opting to live in a townhouse with some friends. If you want to live off campus, there really is something for everyone. You can apartments, townhouses or houses ranging from the cheap basics to the luxurious with all of the amenities, all quite close to campus or by an FSU off campus bus route.

Greek Life: Being in a greek organization is highly recommended. Not everyone is greek, but sometimes it tends to feel like everyone is greek. You don't have to be a specific kind of person to be in one either. For girls there are 16 sororities, and trust me when I say that there is a place for everyone! You can be as involved as you want, and vise versa! You are not looked down on if you are not in one, but when meeting people, most ask what sorority/fraternity you are in

Party Scene: For those who drink, FSU has a pretty insane nightlife. Every night there is a different bar or club to go to...Thursdays- pots, Fridays- Baja's and Lit, Saturday- Coliseum, etc...Basically everywhere is 18+ and 21+ if you want to drink. They are not very strict on id's which makes it even better. There is always a place to drink, and always people willing to drink! FSU isn't said to be a drinking town with a football problem for no reason!

For those who don't drink, there still is always things to do. You can go bowling, go to free movies, go to the mall, basically anything!

Off-Campus Housing: Exspensive. College town usual problems with younger students moving away from home and not used to having roommates. Traffic is a problem and we have crazy drivers from all over.

4 College Sophomore

Diversity: It is a pretty large school and kids will group up but overall are tolerant of others. Quite a mixture of local and out of town students.

3 College Sophomore

Administration: The police are a constant presence. The school works at keeping in touch with students on urgent situations.

3 College Sophomore

Local Area: Tallahassee still has a small time feel. Shopping could be better. Traffic is a mess when all the political support and lawyers are in town. Good student support and specials.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: There are so many fast food places, local chains, unique restaurants and coffee shops all within a short walking distance.

3 College Junior

Technology: Printing on campus is pretty easy and inexpensive. There are always computers available at Dirac Science library, rarely any open at Strozier (Main library) but plenty of other computer labs around campus with all of the software you could ever need.

5 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Tennessee Street is loaded with awesome places to eat. Some are fast food chains that you'll see anywhere (like McDonalds, Burger King, ect.) But, there are also lots of little Mom N' Pop shops around, too. The places closet to campus tend to have student discounts, and some even accept your FSUID bucks as a form of payment. Probably the most well-known off campus eatery is Tomahawks, which is packed on Thursday nights when people go to sing karaoke.

Greek Life: Some Greek organizations are great, and they really do a lot to help out the community. But, a lot of times, "Greek life" become synonymous with "party life". They are known for throwing parties, and are typically seen as being snobs. Some sororities and fraternities have very nice housing, and it is typically reserved for Seniors and the occasional Junior. Here, it is more socially acceptable to not be involved in Greek life than to be in a "bad" fraternity or sorority. Some have negative connotations attached. For instance, it is a common thought that TriDelt girls are "easy".

5 College Freshman

Athletics: Our school is very spirited, when it comes to sports. It can be hard to get tickets to games because of how many people want to attend. In the football stadium, you can't sit quiet, and you can't sit still. Everyone is shouting, and showing the most support I've ever seen for a sports team. Plus, our team is amazing! The only problem I see is that we have no Men's Soccer team.

3 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: More than anything else, you'll see "fratty" guys. They typically wear colored shorts, and polo's. Often, you'll see them in suits, because of a requirement made by their fraternity. There are also lots of "hipster" looking guys. They wear tight jeans, and band shirts or flannels. Almost all girls look like they bought their entire wardrobe from Forever 21, and it's hard to tell their social life based on what they wear. If you look deep into the progressive side of campus, though, you'll find some slightly more hipster girls.

1 College Junior

Parking: Parking is horrible at FSU. There is not enough parking spaces and it usually takes a long time to get a spot if you are not there at 8 am.

5 College Junior

Administration: I think that the strictness at our school is good. If you park somewhere you are not allowed you are going to get a ticket. If you are doing something that is illegal you are going to get in trouble. This keeps the students and lets everyone enjoy the campus.
