Off-Campus Dining: Near campus there aren't that many places to choose from, especially if you want variety and healthy food.

Drug Safety: There aren't heavy, heavy drugs on campus, but there is frequent under age drinking at parties and a lot of marijuana use, which is pretty common on most university campuses. If you don't get involved with it, it isn't like it will come find you. Don't give in to peer pressure and you're good.

Local Area: The town has everything you need, but it's certainly not a major city.

4 Recent Alumnus

Off-Campus Housing: There are plenty of apartment complexes within walking distance of campus. There are also tons of locals that rent older homes to students.

Parking: Leave your house at least 30 minutes early if you plan on parking in one of the main garages before 2:00.

Party Scene: There are several 18 and up clubs, and several 21 and up clubs, so you can decide what atmosphere you want. Frat row has tons of parties, and there are always house parties near campus. There is a different bar for every niche scene you can think of.

Majors: A typical internship is unpaid and the workload varies with every company.

Majors: I really love the Marketing program, it's fun and in my opinion, very versatile. Most of the professors are very dedicated and love teaching new material from textbooks, keeping us up to date with the latest business stories, and giving us examples of when they used certain strategies in their past employments. Also, most guest speakers give internships!

4 College Senior

Majors: The process of getting into my program was relatively easy for me. Every Business program at FSU is selective, so not everyone gets in. However, I didn't have any trouble. If you're not good at math or finance, you will find it difficult to get in.

Majors: I was an education major. The internships were very helpful, but I still wanted more varied experiences. The coordination was great, and there was always someone there to help when needed. It's an unpaid internship, which is the only part about it that isn't so great.

Campus Quality: We have the only flying circus where students learn to be a part of it, and the school of music produces some of the best musicians and teachers in the country!

Guys & Girls: Students look as typical as any other college or university. I do believe when I attended that there was a higher female to male ratio....

Campus Quality: Some of the buildings are really run down, but others that are new and up to date are beautiful and well kept

Majors: I'm still slowly in the works of my psychology and criminology major, but I'm loving every moment of it. All my professors are extremely helpful and don't mind helping you out even if it seems like a silly question. Also, here at FSU, most professors are doing research which amazes because no matter how much they seem to know, they always reach out and try to discover new things and help out our community which I think is really amazing and makes me give them a whole level of respect and admiration for them.

3 College Freshman

Majors: Being a double major in psychology and criminology, there are a range of internships I could select from like shadowing professionals at their work to becoming an assistant and learning the ropes of one of the possible jobs I could attain in the future. However all internships are demanding at first and many unpaid, but its the experience and the friendships that I will created and gain that makes everything worthwhile

Athletics: At FSU, everyone breathes in varsity sports. It's almost a culture here for more than 2/3 of the student population to celebrate and cheer on for our teams in varsity sports. It gives us an identity that we all want and some of us need, a bonding that connects us no matter where we came from or what we believe in.

Majors: The program I got into was rather smooth due to the fact that I applied and acknowledge that Psychology was the major I declared myself to be every since I was a little girl. However, I've discussed with my adviser and it took some time and paperwork and some moments of confusion, but now I'm a double major in Psychology and Criminology.

Campus Housing: Everything is close and within walking distance, and helps you to learn your way around campus.

Diversity: There are many different communities and clubs based on race and ethnicity, and almost everyone could belong to one or more of those groups. No one should have trouble finding ethnically similar people.

Campus Housing: Living on campus is much more about the experience than the actual buildings. I'd suggest living on campus freshman year and getting the meal plan. It allows you to get to know so much about what is going on on our campus

Transportation: Being a Florida State Student means that students can get anywhere in Tallahassee for free. There are six bus routes, and we have an app that shows you in real time where the buses are, that is convienent. Also we offer a SAFE bus that will pick up students anywhere on campus and drop them off anywhere on campus at night, for safety. We have a night nole bus to take students around to local entertainment spots Thursday-Saturday evenings. There is also an option for a cheap cab ride for students. Its easy to get around safely and quickly.

Technology: There are two main libraries here at FSU: Strozier library (main humanities library) and Dirac library (for the sciences). Both libraries have computers, printers, and copy machines available for student use. It doesn't cost much to print from the library but I would recommend having your own computer and printer as the libraries get packed around midterms and finals week. The Wifi is free on campus all you need to do is sign in with your FSU username and password. Granted in certain lecture halls and classrooms the wifi connection is terrible but chances are you are supposed to be paying attention to the lecture anyways.

2 College Freshman

Parking: Parking can be a nightmare on campus but it is not impossible to find a parking space at FSU if you are looking in the right places at the right times. There are four parking garages on campus but only the Traditions parking garage is open and free all week long. Always park nose-in to the spot otherwise you will get a parking citation. Other ways you can get parking citations include parking in reserved spots, parking in handicapped spots, parking in lots in which your permit does not cover, etc. Citation costs range from $30.00 to $100.00, so do your best not to get a ticket. If you live near campus or on campus there is really no need for a car. The FSU campus is large but you can walk from one end of campus to the other in 15 minutes tops and there is always the FSU bus transportation during the day and a FSU safe bus for the evenings.

Health & Safety: Some of the older dorms didn't help in times of sickness.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Many options but a lot of the quality places are relatively expensive.
