Health & Safety: There's room for improvement mostly on educating naive girls.

Greek Life: I know a few sisters and brothers and they speak very highland their individual houses. I don't personally know much about the Greek life.

Overall Experience: I am so happy to have been accepted here. The opportunities and level of education have by far exceeded my expectations.

Athletics: A vast variety is available trough out the whole year with the opportunity for any one to get involved. That freedom of choosing is priceless.

Diversity: I moved here from Baltimore, MD, and it was practically a culture shock to move from such a liberal, diverse, and poor community. To me, everyone here seems rich, white, and Christian. I'm very accepting of other cultures and open to poking fun (in good taste) at others, and my friends from the area are so not used to seeing such openness that they believe I'm racist.

Drug Safety: Definitely could use some improvement, but again, its understood as the culture of the schol.

Overall Experience: I wish that as freshman, our teachers were a little more interested in helping us adjust to school, and showed more interest in our wellbeing. Especially in a major as hard as engineering, sometimes I feel as though I'm expected to be perfect in every class I take, and don't feel a lot of support from my advisor when I'm struggling.

Health & Safety: The drinking culture here perpetuates crime, and unfortunately a bunch of hormonal young adults usually results in sexual assault. I believe education on the matter around campus is lacking and more can be done for victims.

Overall Experience: Very simple and easy to navigate, but not extremely personalized. Its hard to do so with so many applicants.

Campus Housing: So convient to live on campus to avoid the parking situation. I know they are trying to expand it though.

Greek Life: Greek life only makes up a small percentage of our school but it still seems like it's a huge thing. I would say that when people are out on the social scene, the majority of these people are Greek members. As for the houses, they aren't houses, they are mansions (for sororities that is). For fraternities, only about two of them are actually decent looking.

Athletics: One of the main things Florida State is famous for is our school spirit. That is the very reason why we have thousands of visitors during home games from all over the nation.

Overall Experience: After visiting many schools around the state of Florida, there is none that compared to The Florida State University. To start off, campus is gorgeous. I have spent countless hours around campus whether it was to walk to class, eating lunch in between classes, or even bringing a blanket out to Landis Green to study. There are good vibes all around campus and a good majority of students on campus appreciate the beauty of our campus. Second, the staff. Every staff member I have spoken to at my advising office, the financial aid office, T.As, professors, etc. have all been patient, useful and helpful. Everyone at Florida States believes in your success almost more than you do in yourself. Last, I will always choose Florida State over any other school because of how awesome it is to have thousands of people on the same page as you. Joining clubs and influential societies have only brought me up and gave me higher expectations for my life after graduation. I am confident that Florida State has prepared me for my future career since my first day of Freshman year.

Health & Safety: the lighting is really bad and it's really scary to walk alone at night, especially for females. there are blue lights to help with emergencies, but i still dont like walking around alone.

Overall Experience: fsu is a great place to network and leave campus with a job

Campus Housing: obviously small, but that's college. i've learned to love my dorm

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: very judgmental process for getting in, very strict rules for members, a lot of them isolate themselves and only talk to their brothers or sisters. i'm not in it, but some of the people involved are cool, it's just not for me.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: huge football fan, so fsu is great for that

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: the only school i've ever wanted to go to. i love it!

You would be hard-pressed to find a graduate of Florida State University who doesn’t have fond memories of the years they spent on campus. Current students will also agree that they are happy with their decision to attend school here. There is something for everyone, from athletics to academia, and you would have a hard time finding a more comfortable setting than Tallahassee. It has so much to offer, from exciting nightlife to beautiful weather.

Although it bears the reputation of a party school, FSU also has a growing reputation for turning out some of the best and brightest graduates in the entire nation. The school is now turning its focus on research, which should appeal to those interested in science and mathematics. But never fear, FSU also emphasizes the arts through their award-winning film and theater departments. From math and science, to the arts, FSU offers a vast array of eclectic degrees, which will be nothing but helpful later in your life. Choosing which college to attend is not an easy decision, but if you’re looking for the perfect combination of a good education and a good time, you can’t do much better than Florida State University.
