Majors: The biology department has brand new facilities and student labs. I enjoyed the program. Some classes were more enjoyable then others and you are required to take some classes that may not match with the field you are hoping to go into. There is a lot of work involved. Some teachers are better at presenting and helping with the material than others. If you work hard and apply yourself you can work in professors labs.

Drug Safety: It all depends on who you hang around with. Drinking was more popular and there was some peer pressure but there could be great consequences if you are caught in the dorm with illegal substances or drinking underage

Campus Quality: There are many new buildings on campus that are great, but there are still some areas of campus that need to be updated. The university is working to build a modern campus. The new student health center is extremely nice and convenient and the science buildings are top of the line.

Campus Quality: Beautiful campus, all the new science buildings are fantastic. The student government is working hard to make sure student activities and facilities are fun and pay for facilities to be open late during exam weeks and provide refreshments. Lots of organizations to join so you can find your place if you are willing to try. Always something interesting in the union.

Off-Campus Dining: There are many off campus dining options that are great! For example, Jimmy John's subs has available delivery until midnight. The cost is very convenient for students and there is a huge variety. All of the dining options are at a close walking distance from campus and the best places would definitely be...Mr. Robotos and Momo's Pizza!

Majors: Although I do not currently have an internship, I've heard that the internships with FSU are incredible. Many students travel abroad for their internships and come back saying that that was the best experience. FSU has a known study abroad program that is very popular. Although pricey, there are always scholarships available for students and it is definitely worth it! Also, side note, the best times for students to study abroad are during their first and second years of college as opposed to the third and fourth when there are more heavy concerns such as graduate school applications, graduation, etc.

Campus Housing: For first year college students, it is a great experience to live in the dorms. As freshmen, it is an opportunity to meet new people and to potentially make life long friends. The halls are usually quiet during quiet hours but those rules are not followed all the times. As for convenience, living in the dorms is great because there are no worries for parking. For Freshmen, it is the best to live on campus to get a better feel and understanding of the campus.

Campus Quality: Landis Green is a huge space in the heart of campus for students to relax and study and catch up on homework. Not only do many students study on Landis Green, many students bring their dogs for a nice walk and play frisbee. Students even tan at times! Landis Green is in front of two libraries at FSU that are incredible. Strozier Library provides printing services as well as a tutoring section. Strozier Library has five floors, all with plenty of tables and computers to use. Also, there is a Starbucks available 24/7 as long as Strozier is open. Social activities are also held at "Club Stroz" at times! Goldstein Library is also right next to Landis Green. Goldstein has a more quieter and studious reputation. Goldstein Library also has a couple study rooms with white boards for students to use.

Campus Quality: There are many programs such as the CARE program that serve solely to help first generation students. Many recipients are first generation students and CARE knows that the college experience may be overwhelming. However, in CARE, there are printing services, networking opportunities, as well as tutoring and computer lab services.

Transportation: The bus system is wonderful. They have an App for Apple and Android devices that will have a map of where all the buses are and their ETA's of when they will arrive at a bus stop. The only reason I give an A- is because some routes need an extra bus or two. Sometimes, the buses are very full and you will have to wait awhile for the same bus to come around with less people.

Campus Food: It's very hit or miss. Some days it is very good and provide many choices. Some days I ask what is going on in there heads. Efficiency is something the dining halls lack. Lines will be long and they will take there sweet old time.
I recommend Fresh Foods over Suwannee. FIGG is also a great option for lunch located in the stadium.

The Student Union also has SubWay, Freshens, Papa Johns, Chili's, Polo Tropical, and some others that are all good.

Health & Safety: Many blue-lights around campus. Provide Safe Connection to take you where ever on campus during late hours when you don't feel safe walking. Police are present and are reasonable.

Academics: It can be better. Teachers are so huddled with doing there on research that their classes lack creativity and make learning fun. But i don't blame them FSU has a mandatory research policy to work at this school.

Transportation: Public transportation is really good in tallahasse. Although, it does not run 24 hours like some, you can always have an available bus schedule. FSU has one of the most efficient bus system. They have this iPhone and blackberry app that allows you to track the travel of you desired bus to eliminate unnecessary wait time. The cab system is also really good. Pricey but good.

Guys & Girls: Florida State university, is like miami florida. You are going to get a lot of people from all walks of life. the good this there is something for every one, racially and culturally. PS: the women are very hot as well and the men are just to die for. Well some at least. However, for a person like me that is caribbean i wish i can see more of my native accent in Tallahassee.

3 College Freshman

Administration: If you get caught drinking or smoking, you get sent to the student code court, which I dont know much about. I have known people who got sent there for getting caught drinking and smoking and they did not get expelled, so its not that bad.

3 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: Most of the guys here are pretty nice and polite. They always open the door for me and are just overall pleasant. There are some guys however (mostly frat guys) who are the typical douche bags. But thats pretty normal.

2 College Freshman

Scholarships: The last 2 semesters I have been at FSU they have messed up my financial aid refund. This semester they did not tell me that they used up my refund for another issue, and it took me a month and a half to even find that information out. Employees are not very helpful.

Athletics: Florida State has the best sports programs period!

5 College Junior

Athletics: This school has awesome basketball and football teams. The school spirit is amazing. Football weekends are CRAZY! I am not an athlete, but as a fan, I can say that you will be very happy to support your teams at FSU

Academics: I am a liberal arts student -- started out in Latin American Studies. The program closed but opened again. The professors know their stuff. Most of them try to make what could be dull interesting. I have also taken some womens studies and writing courses. They have been great!

4 College Junior

Academics: I came here for one program which was closed right after I got here. Buy I picked another one and it has been great. There are tons of opportunities for service, with chances to meet friends. I participated in a Freshman Living and Learning Community which was also helpful. Teachers are good. The resources are many. Class choices are many, too. Overall, the academics are great.

3 College Junior

Weather: Tallahassee weather is very finicky. There will be days in November/December where it will be in the 80s and then the next day it will be in the upper 50s. It can make predicting the weather, and thus what to wear very difficult sometimes.

3 College Junior

Diversity: Although there are a lot of international students at FSU, I feel that the student body could be a little more diverse. However, there are a lot of different religions and political views represented throughout campus, which can make for a politically charged environment sometimes.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: At the beginning of my college experience I was awarded a lot of financial aid due to my financial situation. However, as the years went by and the funding got cut I've received less and less financial aid, which isn't necessarily the universities fault, but it has made paying for school more difficult.
