Transportation: The school has an excellent bus system that is free for all students, runs every fifteen minutes, and is almost always going where you need it to. Also, the Tallahassee public buses are free for all FSU students, and will take you almost anywhere. Taxis also have specials for students who need rides at night. If you're going home from a club, before 3am, the cost is only $3 to get to campus. FSU also has night systems for when you don't feel comfortable walking alone in the dark. There are numbers you can call and be picked up, no questions asked.

Drug Safety: You never see anyone drinking or doing drugs in the streets. Most students who do drink are over 21 as it is really controlled by the police force at FSU. I have never personally seen anyone doing drugs other than smoking cigarettes outside of classes.

Local Area: Everyone in Tallahassee is extremely friendly. I went from a town in which no one cared to this city where everyone is courteous. The streets are always clean, especially around campus. Downtown is beautiful with cobblestone streets and quiet music coming out of all of the small cafes. There are plenty of places to hang out, whether you like to party, go to the movies, or just study. My favorite is the $3 movie theater 10 minutes away.

Campus Food: The dining halls are average. The food is not that great. Not very many vegetarian options.

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: The housing can be nice but way too expensive for what you get.

4 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: The guys at FSU are quite the lookers. We have a big frat scene so we naturally have a lot of the frat guy types, you have the artsy Starbucks guys, the good ole Southern Boys, and you have the average guys. A majority of the guys are a little full of themselves, but there are also lots of sweethearts!

Campus Quality: Everything is kept clean and pristine. I love the athletic centers. The library is very high tech and easy to use. However the old dorms need work.

4 College Freshman

Campus Quality: I love our "market wednesday". It is great to see all the artistic people sharing their creativity. I encourage their work. Quidditch is great.

Diversity: I don't have any doubt that Florida State is full of Diversity. I have noticed numerous clubs focussing on every religion you could think of. I am slightly annoyed with the fact that there is a man who preaches every once and a while on campus but I am grateful for the freedom of speech aspect. Everyone here has a different background and I find that refreshing!

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: There are a lot of great places to stay on campus. Avoid the west side dorms and go for the east side. West side is community style, east side you share a bathroom with 4 people instead of 50.

Campus Food: Lot's of bad food at most of the places, but if you go to the fig on friday's they have fried chicken. the dining halls have a lot of varieties, but you get tired of the taste of cardboard. every once in a while eating at the dining halls can save you money because it's buffet style, but eating there everyday sucks.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: Lot's of sketchy neighborhoods. However, the apartments are pretty cheap and love to please

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: Very many people do drugs and drink, but it is easy to avoid the drug scene. I have never been around drugs in college the way I was in high school.

3 College Junior

Campus Food: There is a sufficient amount of restaurant, but it is not abundant

4 College Freshman

Campus Quality: FSU's campus is very aesthetically pleasing. Everything is kept up on. It's especially pretty in the fall when you're walking to class on the Legacy Walk. Facilities are nice enough. Libraries have new apple computers. You have a few good options to eat on campus, Starbucks always has a line. There's always an event going on where you can get free food.

5 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: There's a lot of Southern boys on campus. That's the majority. Then you have the few randoms from the north. When walking around you'll always see someone attractive. The sorority girls are always wearing their t-shirts, they don't wear anything else, even to the gym. Overall it's a great place to be and make new friends.

4 College Freshman

Campus Quality: The facilities of FSU are for the most part clean and up to date. There's always maintenance men blowing dirt and leaves off the sidewalks. Landis Green is a great place to lay out or get fresh air. The statues around campus are very appealing to the eye. There is so much you can get involved in, there's no way one could ever do everything they wanted, not that that's a bad thing! There's always something going on. Market Wednesdays break up the longevity of the week. The new computers in the Library are great, and the Starbucks inside is the perfect touch.

3 College Freshman

Administration: In the dorms, you aren't allowed to drink but people do. As long as your quiet and discrete they don't check on you. But I wouldn't recommend it. As for at the bars it all depends, you'll hear about and learn to recognize undercover cops. If they ask you if you're drinking underage just fess up to it, or they'll hit you for a bigger punishment. If you get in trouble for drinking in dorms then the first offense is like a fine and a one page apology letter. They're isn't much to worry about, they understand it's a college town, just don't be doing anything to extreme.

Guys & Girls: We joke that when walking to class you think you might have just seen the most beautiful girl on the planet, and then the next girl walks by and changes your mind. There is a reason why most rankings you'll see online have FSU as one of the best look colleges in the U.S.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: There is apartments for everyone at FSU, You need to sign early usually around January and February the year before. But prices range from 400 to 700 a room depending where you live. Bus routes go to most of the apartments which is nice. Next year I'm living in a brand new complex and they are keeping it relatively cheap. A good amount of the complexes are gated. When the time comes just do some research online and it shouldn't be too hard to find what you're looking for.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: Off campus housing is very easy to find and is typically a lower price for more space than staying on campus.

3 College Freshman

Local Area: There is a mall close by, as well as many restaurants. Attitudes toward students are generally pretty nice. There are always FSU sporting events, but there are no pro teams around. Safety is good during the day, you just have to be smart at night.

5 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Seeing as how it is the Capitol and therefore is a pretty big city, there are tons of great dining options. There are places that re reasonably priced as well as great date places. Some of the popular restaurants include Jimmy John's, Momo's pizza, Mr. Roboto's, Gordo's, and so many more. There is somewhere always for your price range. Some places have student discounts, but I get coupons in the mail pretty frequently.

3 Recent Alumnus

Party Scene: There are a lot of places to go to and there is also a great variety

3 Recent Alumnus

Parking: Figuring out the appropriate times when people are leaving or going to class is easy but otherwise, parking on campus between the hours of 9-2pm is very difficult. It is not as bad on Fridays since most people don't have classes on Fridays.
