Administration: My only complaint is that there weren't as many police officers hanging around the campus area at night until after multiple assaults were reported during the evening hours on campus.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: The lines for the financial aid office seem to go on for days, especially at the beginning of each semester. I've known people that financial aid has made mistakes and given them "too much money" making the student then pay back the supposed grant they were given. It truly is quite a hassle.

Party Scene: Parties have introduced me to people that I would have never thought to have interacted with and has not only widened my social circle but my networking ability for the future.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: Last semester when FSU was testing out the premium dining option it was amazing, the fact that we now have to pay an additional cost for that seems a bit silly considering how much money the school has.

Campus Housing: Depending on the dorm it can be great or awful, the older dorms are rather small and can make you feel like each person is basically living on top of one another. While the newer dorms are much more spacious and a realistic expectation of how people are used to living especially for how expensive dorm housing is in comparison to other options in the surrounding area.

5 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: There are so many different options and styles of off campus housing available. there are the super high end housing for the rich folk/ones who can afford it, there are small houses, big houses, townhouses, small apartments, large apartments, ones closer and ones farther away. its really great.

Off-Campus Dining: Tallahassee is INCREDIBLE when it comes to the food scene. I have found so many great local restaurants that offer so many different delicious cuisine. anything from vegan food to BBQ. Also we have so many great coffee shops that all have their own flare on timeless classics.

4 College Sophomore

Administration: They are very reasonable with their strictness. they give us freedom and make stupid college decisions, but still keep us safe and responsible.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I avoid financial aid if i can. i just don't like paperwork and conflict. but they are pretty good about it.

3 College Sophomore

Party Scene: I honestly go out maybe once or twice a semester, but when i do it's fun. I try to avoid places like the strip, the coliseum, pots, bulls, etc. but i really like Madison Social, Proof, and Recess.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: I don't have many complaints about the meal plan. It is super convenient and nice having unlimited. The food gets a little boring after a while, and they aren't very good at catering to people with food allergies. I am allergic to dairy and sometimes had very few options or only one option for food. I found myself eating the same things over and over because they were the only things without dairy in them.

Campus Housing: I really enjoyed living on campus last year. I was in Dorman (the one they are about to tear down), and my roommate and i were random and didn't click, but not in a 'we hate each other' kind of way, more in a 'we both happen to be living here and that's fine' kind of way. I really liked community style because they cleaned the bathrooms for you every week day. The rooms were pretty small and the building was rather run down, but it wasn't anything that was worth pitching a fit about. I enjoyed the proximity to everything that on-campus housing provides and it was super easy to hang out with friends who also lived on campus.

Off-Campus Dining: There are plenty of cheap places to eat of campus.

3 College Freshman

Administration: I haven't dealt much personally with the administration but from experiences of friends they are about average.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: I got a lot of good scholarships, but the price of the school is still pretty expensive even with all of it and I still have loans.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: The food at the dining halls is not very good. It help to have the meal swipes at the restaurants but it's very difficult to eat healthy without going over the $6 a day.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: The housing process is relatively simple. Housing is pretty expensive if you want to live in a nice dorm, but if you don't want to spend much you will likely get put into a not very nice dorm.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I have never lived off campus, so I cannot offer any description of it.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are many local specialty restaurants, which I thoroughly enjoy.

4 College Freshman

Administration: Campus strictness at my school is very laid back for the most part. If you are caught with drugs or alcohol, you will be arrested. But if you're just intoxicated, they will leave you alone as long as you're not a disturbance.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: My financial paid paid for all of my tuition for my first semester along with a financial aid refund of $2600. My father had to resubmit my FAFSA for this school year though, and by doing that had a good portion of my financial aid revoked. The school's action in this situation was to request payment for tuition for my first semester, which had already passed.

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: I don't party all that much but when I do, there's always somewhere to party.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: The dining hall food has its good days, and also bad.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I currently live in one of the nicer dorms on campus, Cawthon Hall. But there are some very old dorms on the other side of campus that are comparable to housing projects.

Overall Experience: I loved FSU I am so glad I went there I wouldn't change it for the world if I could go back I would.
