Majors: As an accounting major, I am extremely content with what FSU has to offer and what my future looks like. The professors are supportive and go out of their way to help anyone in need.
My career goals include going to law school and working in corporate litigation. Going to law school always has its risks, but I am confident in my ability to find a job in my field.

Transportation: If an individual needed to access FSU's transportaion, my advice would be to arrive at the bus stop early. Although the buses have a "set schedule", the bus drivers tend to take frequent 3-5 min breaks stopping the bus completely.
If an individual was driving their own vehicle, my biggest suggestion would be to leave your apartment or house at least 30 min before the class. The parking garages and lots tend to fill up rather quickly. However, SGA has created an application for iPhones and Androids that show how full each parking garage on campus is, which helps in gauging where you need to park instead of just driving around campus aimlessly.

Academics: Professors: FSU, just like any other university, has a large number of professors that range in professionalism and likeability. Although many university officials condemn the use of sites such as "Rate My Professor", these are honestly your greatest tool for choosing the right professor.
Curriculum: FSU has consistently challenged me since day one. The curriculum is up-to-date and student friendly.
Registration Process: Florida State just recently created a brand new registration process that makes registering for classes easier. It does take some time to navigate through the system, but it is much more useful than the former process.
Workload: The workload varies between degrees, but staying on top of work and studying is essential to passing classes.
Special Study Options: Most, if not all, of the classes offered at Florida State University have special study options that range from TA-led reviews and tutoring to organizations not affiliated with the university.

Majors: A wide variety of undergraduate programs available

Transportation: Buses are regularly available and have a wide route

Off-Campus Housing: Cheap cost of living, difficult parking and quality

Weather: Completely bipolar but when it's beautiful it's beyond beautiful.

Guys & Girls: There are a lot of social aspects that you have to take into consideration when you come to FSU, if you aren't out going you may have a hard time meeting new girls/guys but since Greek life is so huge there are tons of beautiful fun people waiting to be met. Although some can be stuck up or snotty, there really is every type of personality in both guy and girl here.

Off-Campus Dining: The food in Tallahassee is awesome! Lots of small local places with the best good and atmosphere. Lots of places close and even walking distance from campus. So many options in places and types of food that its always hard to decide on one place. Cost is about average, leaning to the cheaper side- perfect for the college kid budget.

Weather: It's very hot in the summer. Pretty cold for floridians in the winter. Never snows. Rains about 50% of the time, so your umbrella becomes part of your wardrobe.

Campus Quality: I'm not sure if it is like this at every school, but our facilities are very up to date. Our selection of places to eat on campus are very delicious and appealing. Plus all of the places to 'go out' at are very close to campus. FSU also provides safe ways to get to and from bars and/or clubs here in Tallahassee

5 College Sophomore

Campus Quality: There is a brand new Wellness Campus and our gym is also very up to date. Our campus overall is very aesthetically pleasing to look at. It is easily walkable and there are plenty of inside and outside areas to relax and study.

Guys & Girls: The good thing about students at Florida State is that they are diverse. Most students are from in state, but I have come across many from out of state even as far as California. Even though only 20% of students here are in Greek life, I find I run into them a lot more often than non-Greek students.

Party Scene: The club scene is nice and recently more big named artists are making their way to tallahassee. There are many options for those uner 21 that are very enjoyable. There is also strict 21 and over bars and clubs if you want avoid the younger crowd.

Transportation: Public Trasportation is really good at FSU. There are buses running to all student housing, both on and off campus. They also have the Night Nole which runs at night to get student home safely after a night out. They also provide a student discount witht he local taxi company.

Majors: I had to audition in order to get into the music program. It was not very difficult.

Academics: Great Professors and great retail merchandising program with exceptional faculty and staff teaching us.

Parking: Parking is one of the few things I detest about FSU campus. I appreciate that they have built more parking garages since the last time I attended, but it hasn't seemed to do anything to alleviate the problem. If you have classes near the Union, forget about finding parking in the Woodward garage or scant surrounding lots past 8am. I would advise you to be prepared to own a bike, live on campus, be ok with parking far out and walking, or using the campus bus schedule. Don't rely on having a car and your life will be easier.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: There is a lot of variety as far as off-campus housing goes in Tallahassee, if I were to do it again, I would try to rent a house out near campus and rent out parking spots for gameday weekends (people will pay like 20$ to park). Only thing to be aware of is safety of the area you are looking at!

3 College Junior

Administration: The school is fairly strict here but if you follow the rules then you don't have to worry about getting in trouble. If you know you are going to break a rule be discreet about it and don't make it very public as people can turn you in or report you if you are too loud and such...

3 College Junior

Guys & Girls: There are a lot of girls at FSU. A lot of greeks, too. But you don´t have to be involved with greek life in order to have fun. There are clubs for anything and everything, like ultimate Frisbee, Quidditch, etc. A lot of people get into IM sports.

4 College Junior

Campus Quality: The whole campus is brick, so it´s absolutely beautiful. There is a bit on construction going on right now, but the improvements will be amazing. The new William-Johnston Building just opened, with the ACE free tutoring zone in the basement--I have never seen a cooler looking building. Hogwarts on the outside, but state-of-the-art technology and mod interior design on the inside.

3 College Junior

Transportation: The buses at FSU are generally reliable, though they tend to arrive at least 3 minutes later than the schedule actually says. They also have a new iPhone app you can download to see when a particular bus will make a stop close to where you are.

5 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: There are endless possibilities for where you can live off- campus. Some of these options are very convenient as they are walking distance from campus. Even more so, there are bus systems close to most off- campus residences which offer transportation to school. Very convenient!

3 College Senior

Scholarships: Used to give grants for mathematics and sciences etc. but the past few years only loans have been offered to me. The Office of Financial Aid is pretty helpful and will help you with different options for financial aid.
