Party Scene: Its what you make of it

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Alot of filling out questions

5 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: They all seem well balanced and focused

4 College Freshman

Athletics: Not really a part of athletics but you can't not see it on campus

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Good amount of spots but not many student discouns

5 College Freshman

Majors: There are not many people going into the Social Work program which makes it always in demand plus the career has a fast burnout which makes it an easy major to get in.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: For the most part on campus you are very safe, especially if your sober. You have to have a good friend though if you're trying to get back to your dorm drunk. Also, it is important to mention that the FSU police department is excellent and will be there at a moments notice no matter when.

4 College Freshman

Academics: You have a good variety to choose from

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The professors and courses I've had, have all been really prepared and great. Just wish to have gone to a better school for my major

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Personally haven't had to deal with off campus housing but have heard from people that it is so much more cost effective than dorm life.

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Ive heard its alright, but I've never used it

2 College Freshman

Scholarships: FSU is prestigious and is therefore very stingy with it's financial aid it gives. For me all I had is Bright Futures and still had to go down to the Financial Aid office multiple times in order to get my financial aid disbursed. Make sure with financial aid you have everything on order for the university as they seem slow when it comes to dealing with financial aide issues.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Mostly chain restaurants but they are alright

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: The pros is that your in walking distance from your classes. The cons is that you might end up with a weird RA or a bad dorm room

4 College Freshman

Party Scene: The party scene is a good here. Many things to do on the weekends

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Depends where you live in Tallahassee, but for the most part its okay

3 College Freshman

Local Area: Coming from an international city, this city is quite slow and quiet besides the bars and clubs

5 College Freshman

Athletics: The athletic point of view in this school is one of the best in the country from cheering on our school to on campus athletic amenities

3 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: I mean everyone looks like the typical college student and I haven't seen any weird people around campus

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: It took awhile to get my financial aid, but I got it right on time

3 College Freshman

Diversity: Very diverse, people from all over the world.

2 College Freshman

Academics: They don't offer my major so I am taking courses that don't apply to my future, kind of feels like a waste of time.

2 College Freshman

Campus Food: Campus dining is pretty bad. Not much variety and not very good quality.

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: Not as many parties because the frats usually throw 1-2 big ones a year but there is still always something to do at night between the bars and clubs.

3 College Freshman

Majors: Had an internship at home but don't have enough time at school for one.

You would be hard-pressed to find a graduate of Florida State University who doesn’t have fond memories of the years they spent on campus. Current students will also agree that they are happy with their decision to attend school here. There is something for everyone, from athletics to academia, and you would have a hard time finding a more comfortable setting than Tallahassee. It has so much to offer, from exciting nightlife to beautiful weather.

Although it bears the reputation of a party school, FSU also has a growing reputation for turning out some of the best and brightest graduates in the entire nation. The school is now turning its focus on research, which should appeal to those interested in science and mathematics. But never fear, FSU also emphasizes the arts through their award-winning film and theater departments. From math and science, to the arts, FSU offers a vast array of eclectic degrees, which will be nothing but helpful later in your life. Choosing which college to attend is not an easy decision, but if you’re looking for the perfect combination of a good education and a good time, you can’t do much better than Florida State University.
