Parking: Parking can be a nightmare on campus but it is not impossible to find a parking space at FSU if you are looking in the right places at the right times. There are four parking garages on campus but only the Traditions parking garage is open and free all week long. Always park nose-in to the spot otherwise you will get a parking citation. Other ways you can get parking citations include parking in reserved spots, parking in handicapped spots, parking in lots in which your permit does not cover, etc. Citation costs range from $30.00 to $100.00, so do your best not to get a ticket. If you live near campus or on campus there is really no need for a car. The FSU campus is large but you can walk from one end of campus to the other in 15 minutes tops and there is always the FSU bus transportation during the day and a FSU safe bus for the evenings.

Health & Safety: Some of the older dorms didn't help in times of sickness.

Off-Campus Housing: Many options but a lot of the quality places are relatively expensive.

Athletics: Varsity football is huge at Florida State. Just about everyone goes to the games or are involved in tailgates for the game. Baseball is also pretty big since we always seem to do well there.

Greek Life: For the most part, the Greeks are service oriented

Transportation: The transportation at FSU is awesome. Buses run often

Academics: Florida State University has a wide variety of courses available for every type of student

Majors: I am currently studying Hospitality and Tourism Management, as well as Spanish at FSU and I love both of them. The classes are intriguing and the teachers in these majors are great. The advisors for my majors are excellent they let me know what classes I should be taking each semester to make sure I am on track at all times. They also host a "Job Fair" where local and non-local businesses come and set up booths to speak to you about their companies. The Hospitality sector at FSU really makes an excellent effort to help their students find jobs and internships. Within my first year they helped me get a job at The Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida, which is where I hope to end up when I graduate. Everyone involved in the Hospitality and Tourism Management major is eagerly helping me attain my goals one day at a time.

Local Area: Tallahassee is a great place to be as far as colleges go. Florida State University is located in the capitol of Florida so there is always something going on. It can be known as a party school, but that is only because we have so much pride in our sports teams. Football season at Florida State University is life changing! The campus itself is incredibly beautiful with mostly brick buildings and the stadium is awesome! Nightlife is big in Tallahassee and the strip is always fun to go to, but there are clubs as well. The food is well college food, cheap. Outside of the city there are hiking trails and sink holes which make Tallahassee a pretty well rounded place to be!

Administration: Really depends on how you see this one. The campus police are pretty strict and I thought that was great because it made me feel safer. Other people might think that this will cramp their style but I thought my safety was more important than some other things.

Athletics: The athletics are great at FSU. Varsity and IM sports are both really popular. Are teams are pretty great all around and are students have some of the most school spirit around. The athletic facilities are great for athletes and also surprisingly great for students.

Local Area: There are a lot of clubs and places to eat. There are also farmer's markets and festivals and many other things to do. It has the best of a city and the best of a small town. Could use a little more performing arts besides what is provided by FSU.

Academics: The advertising program is great. Really small classes and classes that really prepare you for internships and your first job. I am still using things I learned in the classes and I'm on my second job!

Off-Campus Housing: The closer to campus you are, the more hectic living is. There are plenty of quality apartments for cheap if you are willing to just live more than 5 minutes from campus. They also tend to be safer.

3 College Senior

Parking: There is plenty of parking available, but unfortunately, it's difficult to provide ample parking for a huge university. The bus system is convenient, if long, but most times I have to park at the LDS church next to the medical building as a last resort, and that only works if you're LDS like I am.

3 College Senior

Weather: Tallahassee weather is great, rarely gets too cold, though it is somewhat muggy in the summer. The campus can get flooded, it doesn't have the greatest drainage system.

5 College Junior

Party Scene: There is always something going on either on or off campus, especially if you take part in FSU Greek life. However, even if you don't there is always something to do, be it house parties, clubs, bars, sporting events, or campus events.

Health & Safety: FSU takes safety quite seriously, which in my opinion is a good thing. We have the blue light systems throughout campus, an FSU PD station on campus, many night time transportation options, and strict entry into most campus events.

Majors: As a Music Therapy major, I have really enjoyed my classes and learned so much. Florida State has one of the top research programs in music therapy. The professors at FSU are very important and well known in the music therapy field and have many connections. My goal is to to find a job that will make good use of my skills and that will expose me to help many people. Finding a job may be difficult, but the professors and advisers are very helpful.

Campus Quality: Everywhere you go on campus no matter if you know people or not they are always so friendly! Thats one of the things i love most about FSU it's very easy to make friends here and usually everyone knows someone close to you like one big happy family!

Parking: Sometimes parking can be a pain especially if your late. you have to get up really early to get a good spot by your class, but if you dont mine walking then you can park and take the bus.

5 College Junior

Athletics: Athletics is very huge at our school. Students can get in games free of charge with valid school ids. Also students also have a huge gym on campus with very nice staff and always willing to help you out with anything. We have a ton of IM sports which are very diverse!!

5 College Junior

Local Area: Everything is either in walking distance or very close to school. Students don't have to pay for parking or riding the bus which is very convenient and the bus runs every 5 to 10 minutes so you would never be late!

3 College Junior

Diversity: There are a lot of different ethnic groups but mostly are born in America

5 College Freshman

Majors: As a student hoping to go to medical school, I will most certainly look into internships because they are very important for experience, something highly valued when applying to medical school. Currently, as a freshman, I am applying to volunteer at a local hospital in the summer while I am on break. I am hoping to get some hands on experience and gain knowledge on how a hospital runs and what is expected of the employees who work there.
