Diversity: There are a lot of different ethnic groups but mostly are born in America

Majors: As a student hoping to go to medical school, I will most certainly look into internships because they are very important for experience, something highly valued when applying to medical school. Currently, as a freshman, I am applying to volunteer at a local hospital in the summer while I am on break. I am hoping to get some hands on experience and gain knowledge on how a hospital runs and what is expected of the employees who work there.

Majors: I am currently enrolled as an Exercise Science major and I thoroughly enjoy it. I am transferring to Dietetics because the major has all of the same prerequisites as Nursing. Both Dietetics and Exercise Science are under the same category at FSU and the teachers are all wonderful. I have no complaints so far with my professors and the work load is not too strenuous, but every major requires a lot of studying.

Campus Food: The dining halls are decent, but don't have much variety. After a couple weeks of eating the same food, you tend to get tired of it. Usually students who purchase a meal plan at FSU use up their flex bucks really quickly and are left with no choice but to eat at the dining halls the rest of the semester. I can't complain with the on campus food establishments though. Mom and Pop's is always a great quick bite to eat between classes or on the way to the library. We also have a bunch of great places in the Union such as Subway, Pollo Tropical, sushi, and Papa Johns.

Majors: Personally, I've switched my major twice already and found it relatively easy to do at Florida State University. The only real difficulty is switching into Nursing, which I want to do. Prior to applying for the program at the end of my sophomore year, I must make sure to take all the prerequisites required for the program and send in an application before the deadline. The important criteria include a GPA of around 3.8, unweighted.

Weather: The nice temperature of Tallahassee makes it very pleasing to go for walks and such so walking to classes, even if they are on the other side of campus, isn't so bad. It's never really hot and its rarely really cold. All in all, I quite like the moderate temperatures of campus.

1 College Freshman

Diversity: The school is predominately either white and christian or white and hipsteresque. Due to this, there are rather few minorities on campus. Not to mention that many of the students essentially look the same and seem to come from the same middle class family background

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: You can always see the fsu police around campus at night. They have just built this amazing health building that just makes everything easier.

4 College Freshman

Campus Food: The food is good at the two main food places when you have a meal plan. Sometimes you'll be forced to eat pizza because the other food doesn't taste good. There are other restaurants that you cannot pay with your meal plan but they are famous places like subway and chillis. The service is great, people are very nice all the time. Prices aren't so bad but a meal plan shouldn't be necessary.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: It is definitely cheaper to live off-campus. There are a lot of apartment complexes that do leasing per person not per apartment. The rooms are much better than anything on campus. You would need a car, but there are of course some close to campus ones, more expensive but there is a bus stop at most of them too.

Administration: social live can we strict at times but usually isnt bad

5 College Senior

Campus Quality: beautiful campus, campus life is awesome, greek community helps with networking and opportunities

3 College Senior

Parking: parking is getting better since the opening of the new garage

5 College Freshman

Athletics: athletics are a huge part of on campus curriculars. everyone participates in the school spirit and it is a lot of fun.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: the off campus dining is really good. there are a lot of specials going on at almost any time of the year, however because there are so many people on campus those places are usually filled up. if you find the right time to eat you can get a good meal off campus without waiting a while.

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: I ask many people what they do on a weekend during the night. Many of them have gone out once and haven't gone out since. There are a few places that you can go to without getting wasted outside of campus; most of them require a car or a designated driver. The clubs are all mediocre and the bars can be good at times. But like always, anyone can make it a good time by bringing their friends with them. Never go alone.

4 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: The moment you step foot on Florida State, you will many types of people. Most I would say are of the athletic type always running around campus or frat guys wearing their Polo shirts. Lot of girls on campus are wearing dresses no matter what the weather is like but a great handful of them are achieving the 'hipster' look. But in my opinion, they are all beautiful and great students.

Campus Housing: Although some dorms are beautiful like Traditions, deGraffe, and Wildwood halls, other much cheaper halls like Kellum, Salley and Smith are definetly not the same. They are much smaller, moldier, and further from the center of campus. The price difference is sadly not worth it.

Academics: At FSU it is an amazing environment to learn actuarial science because there are always people who are there to help, whether it be graduate students or advisers. There is someone almost any time of day who will help you!

Campus Quality: FSU's campus is my home. After two years here I can't imagine going anywhere else. The people are nice, and the campus always has something going one. The SLC has a state of the art movie theater that hosts events and the greens also have carnivals and other things going on weekly.

Campus Quality: The FSU circus is one thing that sets us apart! We our one of the few to offer this amazing opportunity for performers and it's a great way to get out with friends since students get in for free.

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: Great your first year or two! Great way to meet people and to stay connected to the goings on on campus! Such as the SLC and what not.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: I have never had a major issue with financial aid. I did have a small problem with them earlier this summer but it was quickly resolved.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: There are a lot of places you can live off campus and still walk to school. Tally itself isn't safe, but the campus area is. People pay anywhere from $350 a month to share a quad in an older building, to $700 a month in the new town houses. Parking will kill you.

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: Everyone at FSU is really chill. There is a place for the preppy greek life enthusiasts. There is a place for athletes, and a place for artsy kids. There is a high energy club scene and relaxed bars with live music. Walking around, you will mostly see flip-flops, shorts, and yoga pants. Totes are for girls, backpacks for boys. There is also the most annoying accessory, the hipster bike you ride to class.
