Off-Campus Housing: There are a variety of choices ranging from private dorms to house to apartments and so on. The cost of the places close to campus is pretty steep and there is less parking, and the cost of the residencies moderately far from campus are fair, but it is definitely more convenient and safe to be around campus.

Guys & Girls: Literally so many attractive guys. Mostly country boys or tan South Florida beach boys. So many are into fishing or hunting. Most of the girls are skinny and good looking. Pretty girls with Southern charm.

Party Scene: Theres always something to do for everyone... every night, not just weekends. The bars at the strip are 18+ to get in. Some of the other local bars are 21+. Theres always a house party going on somewhere close to campus. The fraternities are always fun also. If you're not into that scene theres other things to do like the on campus movie theater and so on. Concerts are frequent, typically EDM, country music, or hip hop. The night nole is a bus free to students that takes you basically anywhere off campus you need to go at night. Cabs are also everywhere and I think they're $4 if you show your FSU id.

Drug Safety: It depends on where you go and who you know. The bars are strict with IDing at the door and who gets drinks once inside. Theres usually a lot of security around but drinking underage isn't impossible... especially if you're a girl. The fraternities are... fraternities. Super easy to drink here... again if you're a girl, or in this case a pledge/brother. If you're not seeking drugs you probably won't see them.

Campus Housing: The priority number system sucks. FSU does rolling admission, so if you get in later, your housing priority number will be pretty bad and you'll most likely end up in the older, smaller dorms. However, I hear they're knocking these old buildings down and building new ones soon. All of the newer dorms are really nice and spacious. The upperclassmen dorms are nice but most people tend to move off campus.

Athletics: Football is a major part of the FSU experience. Game days are insane fun and everyone participates!

Campus Food: The dining halls are great for the first month but then you begin to get sick and tired of the food. Food quality is alright where cafeteria standards are concerned.

Campus Housing: Florida State University's campus is beautiful! the dorms are clean and well kept (mostly). The bad dorms are sally, smith, and kellum. The other available dorms are great!

Academics: Florida State University is a fairly good school, with diversity in very aspect. The professors vary; some are excellent and helpful and you actually learn but others do a poor job and leave you to your own means to pass the course.

Diversity: FSU is like a melting pot of people from all over. It is easy to meet new and different people just by walking around campus or joining in on activities. Being from out of state, it's comforting for me to go to a school with such a diverse community.

Health & Safety: The area surrounding the university is scary, I would not personally walk down Tennessee Street alone in the daytime or night.

Weather: Although Winter in Florida is mild and comfortable, the Spring, Summer and Fall are unbearably hot and humid.

Health & Safety: I always feel safe. We go to school in offices.

Weather: Never too hot, not too cold. I'm on a satellite campus so we have normal south florida weather.

Campus Food: Im on a satelite campus so we dont use flex dollars. Just normal restaurants in town.

Party Scene: The night life in Tallahassee is huge. there is literally something to do Monday to Sunday. Bars/ clubs have special nights during the week where they give discounts as well. Since most kids live alone they also have plenty of parties during any day of the week.

Athletics: varsity sports at Florida State are huge. We have a pretty big rivalry with 3 other school teams and the games are fun. the students tailgate and also have watching parties at their houses during the season.

Drug Safety: Alcohol and drug visibility is really high at my school. Drinking is the most popular activity but I have witnessed other drug related acts such as smoking.

Local Area: The atmosphere on campus is incredible. However, the area directly around the school is not the best. While there are many restaurants and the downtown area is neat, there isn't very good shopping and not many attractions. The safety on campus is great. The attitude toward students is almost always nice as well.

Parking: Parking on campus is horrible. While permits are free (included in your tuition), there are very few overnight parking areas and some lots can be confusing to know if it is overnight or not. Tickets are very expensive and sometimes you can be towed.

Health & Safety: During the day things are pretty safe, after dark you need to be aware of your surrounding.

Weather: So far sunny Florida hasn't disappointed. Most days are rather sunny, some are getting a bit chilly, very few rainy days. I hear campus gets rather cool for a few days over the winter.
