Campus Housing: The dorms at Florida State are all pretty good. They do have a lot of really old dorms but it's not bad enough to complain. Some of the new dorms are very nice and they are continuing to build more.

3 College Senior

Weather: It never gets colder then 30 degrees, and if it does its no more then a day or two over winter. Summer tends to get pretty hot but again it is not unbearable.

Drug Safety: Alcohol and marijuana is very prevalent at FSU, but other drugs are not as noticeable. The alcohol is very visible, but the authorities do the best they can in keeping it safe, especially on campus. The policies are enforced heavily, with little leniency, but it is hard to crack down too hard because of the amount of underage people who drink alcohol.

Academics: I am a double major in the business and sports management majors. Both of them have many teachers who encourage, and help set you up with a lot of opportunities including internships, post grad jobs, etc.

Academics: A lot of teachers seem to try and engage the students into the studies that we learn. It usually is not straight from the book which helps us want to learn the subject.

3 College Senior

Majors: I feel like a great deal of information is being taught to us in such a short amount of time since we have a quarter system. Students are often forced to cram information for tests and this does not help us learn. However, the information we are learning is very important and worth knowing.

Campus Housing: It all depends on the dorm you get. Most of the older buildings are honestly awful and are about the size of laundry room. However, most of the newer dorms are nice and clean and much more spacious. The nicer the dorm the more expansive. Also, unless your room has a kitchen a meal plan is the way to go.

Campus Quality: FSU has a variety of on campus activities. We have a movie theater, planetarium, a student run circus, and a club where bands and comedians will come to perform. The school union also has events throughout the year including holiday events, movies on landis and more.

2 College Junior

Parking: Beware! Unless you show up early between the hours of 7-9am finding spots to park during the year are rare. If you can take the bus from your off campus location I highly suggest it. Also your not considered a FSU student until you are towed at least once so keep your eye on where you can and cannot park.

4 College Junior

Administration: great social life tallahassee embodies FSU all year

1 College Junior

Campus Housing: horrible old buildings with tiny rooms for more than one person

5 College Junior

Athletics: football season makes the fall semester great and basketball in the spring does the same

3 College Junior

Parking: they continue expanding parking garages around the school

3 College Freshman

Parking: It would be more convenient if there were more parking spots available.

4 College Junior

Party Scene: The night life is a lot of fun and there are a lot of places to choose from. There are a lot of underage kids that get away with it, but the cops are always outside keeping check. The only downfall is that it is dangerous to walk and if you don't live on campus, its difficult to get there and that there is always a cover and it's not cheap.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Greek life has a strong presence throughout the campus at FSU. It is easy to tell who belongs to a fraternity of sorority, however, it isn't one of the most important things. Students who are not involved in Greek life at FSU have equal opportunities as those who are.

5 College Junior

Weather: The weather is great. Sunny most of the time, and rainy occasionaly. It gets cold, but not unbearably cold. Best of both worlds!

3 College Junior

Technology: The computers are good! They get used up though during finals week

5 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: The food is awesome! Anything you want, any time that you want it they have. They have a few nice restraunts, and a ton of causual, good restraunts to eat at.

5 College Junior

Scholarships: So far, I've had the best experience with the financial aid process. They have done everything for me and have made it so easy.

4 College Junior

Campus Food: They offer good restraunts and everyone is always very helpful.

Athletics: Sports are kind of a big deal here. Football season has to be the most intense at Florida State University. The students are passionate supporters and die hard fans for life. There is plenty of school spirit and the stadium is packed with alumni and current students rallying on their team. It's a fun and lively atmosphere than no student at FSU should miss out on.

Parking: Cost of permit is included in tuition but still isn't cheap and at times you aren't guaranteed parking because freshmen leave their cars in overnight garages for entire semesters so commuting students have to struggle during prime hours to find a spot. They also took away first level parking for students and are now designated faculty spots which limits out spaces. You can get lucky w parking of you pick garages far from the main campus buildings but it is a tiring walk during the hot days in FL.

4 College Sophomore

Administration: Not to strict parties all the time. Its a college town.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: Close to campus; however, not in the best location. Apt complex is very concerned on integrating residents by throwing parties and socials.
