Athletics: Considering Florida State won the national championship this year I would say the fan support and school spirit is at an all time high and every student loves going to games and supporting all varsity supports I would say. Although some are more popular than others

Administration: The campus is strict on the most important things. They try to ensure safeness of everyone as best as possible.

Transportation: The school has a great bus system. Most spots on campus have multiple buses that pass by so you usually do not have to wait more than 10 minutes for a bus. The buses also go by many apartment complexes off campus as well. The app that is available to show where the buses are and they're routes and timing helps a ton.

Scholarships: It is best to get started on applying for financial aid as soon as you can. Do not put it off because it can end up being a very long process. It is important to stay on top of things and to check the status of your aid.

Campus Housing: Although some dorms are extremely small the social aspect makes up for it. You meet so many people living on campus and it is wonderful to be so close to classes, the library, and all your friends.

Athletics: Students at FSU are very proud of the athletics here. We have a ton of school spirit and love to support all teams. The teams all work hard and have high ratings.

Weather: The only times the weather affects the campus negatively is when it rains a lot and you have to walk uphill. Besides that the campus provides several spots that are very nice for hanging out outside on nice days. There is space to hang out with friends, play sports, have picnics, and many more things. It helps to socialize and get to know the campus as well.

Technology: The wireless internet is fast but sometimes unreliable. you have to log back on each time even though the network is supposed to remember your information. Sometimes the wireless cuts out and it takes several tries to get back on. Printing isn't too expensive. There are plenty of places to use a computer.

Off-Campus Housing: Apartments are pretty expensive for students. It's difficult to pay rent without help from family. There are some good deals, but you have to really search for them. A lot of places are noisy, Parking is good for residents, but not for guests, especially on the weekends.

Diversity: There are a lot of international students on campus. We have a building dedicated to Global and Multicultural Engagement where they host meals of international cuisine and do events. There are several organizations and fraternity and sororities dedicated to multicultural engagement.

Majors: I'm very happy. The program has company representatives come to classes, focus panels, and job fairs. There are always on campus interview opportunities. The last 8 weeks of our senior year we are required to do an internship, which is a great push in the right direction.

Drug Safety: Drugs are a big part of college in general. Most kids only use weed and alcohol. Peer pressure is there but not overbearing. You can definitely have a god time without these drugs.

Campus Housing: On campus housing is great for the first year to meet new people and stuff, but the off campus options are much cheaper and are still really close to campus.

4 College Senior

Diversity: There are a lot of political groups to be a part of as well as ethnic groups and LGBT groups.

Off-Campus Housing: I live in a pretty expensive off campus option that is very near campus. There are a lot of further options with very low rent.

Transportation: The FSU bus system is very convienient when having to go across campus. I haven't had the chance to ride the tallahassee bus system but Ive heard ok things about it. Night nole is a life saver.

Athletics: Hello!! We are the National champions. FSU has some of the best sports in the country!!

3 College Senior

Administration: Its a big university so its impossible to keep everyone in line. The campus police are ten times better than TPD.

Weather: The weather in Tallahassee is quite unpredictable. It gets very cold in the winter and the spring is very nice. I love the weather here.

You would be hard-pressed to find a graduate of Florida State University who doesn’t have fond memories of the years they spent on campus. Current students will also agree that they are happy with their decision to attend school here. There is something for everyone, from athletics to academia, and you would have a hard time finding a more comfortable setting than Tallahassee. It has so much to offer, from exciting nightlife to beautiful weather.

Although it bears the reputation of a party school, FSU also has a growing reputation for turning out some of the best and brightest graduates in the entire nation. The school is now turning its focus on research, which should appeal to those interested in science and mathematics. But never fear, FSU also emphasizes the arts through their award-winning film and theater departments. From math and science, to the arts, FSU offers a vast array of eclectic degrees, which will be nothing but helpful later in your life. Choosing which college to attend is not an easy decision, but if you’re looking for the perfect combination of a good education and a good time, you can’t do much better than Florida State University.
