5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: All of my professors are very nice and willing to help their students succeed. All of my professors try to make the material relatively easy to understand and want to test the students knowledge of the material not fail them.

Overall Experience: The school has career fairs to get the student body to get connections and meet people that can possible hire their students.

Campus Housing: There is no privacy due to the fact you don't get a room with a door. Also some residence halls have mold. Additionally, living with roommates that you sleep right next to could cause problems with disagreeing on bed time.

Greek Life: Every Wednesday, the school has "Union Wednesday" which is a gathering of students in the union to watch the greeks stroll. Its nice to see the greek presence on campus.

Athletics: My school has huge school spirit. FSU is very proud of their football programs as it is one of the best in the country. The students get excited and love to cheer on their school at the football and basketball games. The gym, leach, is one of the nicest gyms I've seen. It's obvious that FSU cares about the overall fitness of their student body.

Overall Experience: If I could choose my school all over again I wouldn't choose FSU because I don't like the location of the school. I love my school in the sense of activities and academics but I don't like Tallahassee. Tallahassee is like a college town because there are three college in close proximity. However, there isn't much to do in Tallahassee besides school and partying.

Overall Experience: Most of my professors are really awesome and love what they teach. It is only every once in awhile where I get one that doesn't care or gives an extreme workload because they think their class is the most important.

Campus Housing: Eh, I was close to class but roommates are no fun and most of the buildings are pretty old.

Overall Experience: Loved the layout of the campus. Wish that there were more online options. Maybe I wouldn't have gone to such a sport heavy school, I don't really like football. But that is nothing against the school. Some of the buildings really need updates, but they are building new ones and they are great!

Athletics: Lots of focus on football, but I think the other sports get highlighted as well. Lots of school spirit.

Overall Experience: I love my school. The academics are challenging, and i've never been pushed as hard as I am now to further my knowledge. Even though I can have a large workload, the school provides several ways to help me through it. The campus is beautiful. The best i've ever been on. I'm not much in to sports, but admission is free for students, and it's enjoyable going. There's a place where everyone can fit in, you just have to look around you.

Greek Life: Greek life is just as important as other extracurricular activities.

Athletics: Participating in sports or just sports itself is one of the important key features of school.

Campus Housing: I hate living on campus, my stuff is moldy for no reason and they lied about the spacious living conditions in Landis. They are way over priced and force me to buy an expensive meal plan that I do not use AT ALL. Such a waste of my money.

Greek Life: I don't really get involved in the greek life but if I had the opportunity to join one of the divine nine I would.

Overall Experience: It's pretty rad, other the the walking and some of the professors being boring or awkward, it's a good school.

Health & Safety: We have security looking out for the students all the time. There's no fear of walking alone at night, and there are various methods of getting people home or with someone secure in case something doesn't feel right.

You would be hard-pressed to find a graduate of Florida State University who doesn’t have fond memories of the years they spent on campus. Current students will also agree that they are happy with their decision to attend school here. There is something for everyone, from athletics to academia, and you would have a hard time finding a more comfortable setting than Tallahassee. It has so much to offer, from exciting nightlife to beautiful weather.

Although it bears the reputation of a party school, FSU also has a growing reputation for turning out some of the best and brightest graduates in the entire nation. The school is now turning its focus on research, which should appeal to those interested in science and mathematics. But never fear, FSU also emphasizes the arts through their award-winning film and theater departments. From math and science, to the arts, FSU offers a vast array of eclectic degrees, which will be nothing but helpful later in your life. Choosing which college to attend is not an easy decision, but if you’re looking for the perfect combination of a good education and a good time, you can’t do much better than Florida State University.
