4 College Junior

Technology: There are lots of computers available for use, but having your own is much more convinient. The wifi network is fast. My only complaint about it is that it'll randomly kick you off the wifi so you have to reconnect and log back in. It's a pain.

3 College Freshman

Technology: Way too many people use wireless printers, and many more people bring their own internet, which are both against policy, and disrupt the school's internet. The school does nothing about it, so internet connection is extremely unstable, weak, and slow.

3 College Freshman

Technology: There are plenty of computers on campus, but for convenience it is best to have one of your own. The printing facilities are okay but not fantastic and can get expensive if you print beyond the per-semester quota. The campus has wireless access available almost universally, but it can be slow and the school's IT people frequently break the network while attempting to "improve" it.

Most students have their own computers, which are mostly laptops. There is a wide variety of brands of computers, and preferences are based on what the student's major is. Some students do have desktop computers, but they are not convenient if you want to work in a café or outside. The wireless Internet connection is notoriously slow during the evening hours when there are more students using the Internet. In between classes, the Internet runs at a fairly reasonable speed, so this is the best time to do any important Internet research.

The school labs are almost always full, but with the addition of the Marshall and Vera Lea Rinker Technology Center, the labs should have more room in them. There is at least one printer in each lab, but not all labs provide paper for printing. Paper is available to buy for $0.25 for 50 sheets in the library. There are also reams of paper available to buy in the campus bookstore.
