Greek Life: I am not apart of Greek life (just because I don't think it's for me) however they are very involved at FGCU and I always see them around campus. They always have stands up to meet them and are always doing some type of service or holding an event at FGCU. It seems like a great way to meet people and the frays always have parties. The Greek life keeps campus more alive. My roommate is in a sorority and met a lot of girls and always has things to do.

Greek Life: There is greek life, but its not like most schools because FGCU doesn't have greek housing

2 College Sophomore

Greek Life: FGCU does not have any Greek housing on campus as of yet, but most Greeks do tend to live together in the dorms or off campus. Greek life is severely prominent in every day life at school. They always have tables set up supporting whatever event they have going on, and there are almost always parties or fundraisers Greeks are preparing for. However, Greeks are negatively viewed by non-Greeks. The Greeks give off an elitist vibe from their organizations, and most of the fraternities or sororities only spend time with other Greeks.

Greek Life: No greek housing on campus which is substituted with weekly chapter meetings

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: A small school can only offer so much for Greeks.

The campus is spread out, but it's not large, so there are no Greek houses. Unless you see students wearing Greek life T-shirts or at tables for the sororities and fraternities, there is not much information about them. Many students only see Greek students when they are at tables on campus doing charity work. Most students are either for or against Greek life. There is no happy medium when it comes to fraternities and sororities.

On the plus side, Greek life can be a great way to make friends, meet new people, and have great experiences; in addition, it can be good for networking. However, Greek life is not that affordable. It would be nice if they had less expensive sororities and fraternities. It seems as though all the sororities and fraternities do are social events.
