4 College Senior

Local Area: For the amount of time I stayed in Boca, I can say that the area was really nice and there was always something to do especially since the beach is right there. Shopping was always a plus because there is a huge mall 5 minutes from the campus. There is also always someone who wants to play sports or do any type of activities outside. The location is perfect for students and the locals are usually nice unless you travel further to the west side of Boca. West Boca, from experience, has a lot of older people who are very cranky.

3 College Junior

Local Area: Below Average. Look to create your own fun.

2 College Junior

Local Area: Unless you own a car there are only a few areas you can go to. the university tries to keep all the activities at the school.

4 College Freshman

Local Area: the city is not much of a college town, a lot people who are retired live her, but we are very close to major cities like Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Orlando, it's located in a very nice part of Florida and very close to many other places. The students are all very nice, and I feel very safe enough to walk around on campus alone at anytime of the day. I have walked from my friends dorm to mine alone at 2am. We also have a free ride service to bring you around campus late at night if you do not want to walk alone. The food is good, not that wide of a range, but the food places close really early, and the good food places are not open on weekends. The school is also located off a busy road which makes traveling difficult at times.

Local Area: I like the atmosphere. Not too cold, not too hot .

Boca Raton is a beautiful, affluent community, known as a vacation and retirement destination. And no wonder—the sun shines constantly and the temperature is almost always in the high 70s or low 80s. Virtually every day is a beach day. Residents and students alike can enjoy swimming, skim boarding, jet skiing, boating, and other activities that take advantage of the sun and the sea.

Although not a typical college town with activities and events centered around the campus, Boca Raton is comprised of many good eateries and shopping areas, and there is always plenty for young adults to do. Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach have zoos, malls, aquariums, beaches, and arts and cultural events that are just a short car ride away. Lynn University and the University of Miami are nearby, but typically students interact with mostly other FAU students.
