FAU has many services to offer in the ways of health and safety. In terms of health services, FAU has resources for after-hour emergencies, a wellness task force, and an AIDS committee, in addition to the basic health care the University provides its students.

The department of Environmental Health and Safety has the goal of providing the safest environment possible for FAU's students, staff, and faculty. This department goes above and beyond with its services, offering students programs involving the use of animals on campus, biological and chemical safety, driving and boating safety, and stormwater management. You name it—FAU probably has an answer to it.
